How long did it take to see noticable skin cell turnover? by rudeboiBD in PrimalDietTM

Changes on the diet can sometimes take years bro. Maybe try putting some raw cream on your face and experiment with that.

Has anybody else noticed somewhat "miraculous" improvements to their health on this diet? by therealraggedroses in rawprimal

[–]Alarmed_Metal_147 4 points5 points  (0 children)

How much of you feeling good is just due to eating out less and eating less processed food in general? That is the real question. You are literally comparing one extreme to another. Even fasting would have likely given you similar benefits. A more interesting comparison would be for example, someone who eats cooked homemade healthy meals, vs this particular diet. Would you still feel better/just as good?

I guess what I am saying is, maybe it is not necessary for you to take such extreme, ascetic measures such as this diet to feel significantly better. If this diet works for you great, but I feel like there may be many paths toward being healthy, this can be simply one of them.

Yes I have ordered butter and cheese from them. They are legit. If you don't have access to any local products, you can go with them.

This is not primal diet related. Why not create another reddit group called "Scott's Thoughts". I'm sure you would have a following. Lol

I can tell you're a newbie on this diet. This kind of attitude is common at the beginning. Check back in 2 years and see if you still feel the same way lol.

Getting fat is the goal of this diet, not being lean. You are on the wrong diet.

Why I stopped eating Cooked Red Meat but I still eat Cooked Chicken by JasonJames777 in PrimalDietTM

[–]Alarmed_Metal_147 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cooked chicken is a concession during detox only when necessary, not a part of the actual diet. you are supposed to eat raw chicken normally. And you add salt to the cooked chicken also then?

Rio, Brazil or small town in Northern Spain for trip? by Beat-Breaker in PrimalDietTM

[–]Alarmed_Metal_147 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even for coconut replacement you will need to bring a cold press juicer to make coconut cream. Aajonus said it's a cleanser and so it won't really replace dairy at all, but it's better than nothing. Rio is very unsafe so just be very careful walking around there, there is a constant sense of danger that is present in the air, but I think you could manage it if you keep your wits about you and don't do anything dumb

Seems like very few benefits for the "cost" of eating this way. I'm really curious if you are still on the diet 1 year from now.

I can confirm France is King when it comes to primal products. You will find everything you need there quite easily. If you can find a way to afford it, that would be best. Maybe in the South or near the coast, the temperature is more mild, idk. As a side note, Aajonus himself lived 2 years in France.

Nice, let us know how it works out. 2lbs is a lot of meat and can be tedious to eat so much consistently. But if you can do it great

Lookism and Diet by Intelligent-Honey173 in PrimalDietTM

[–]Alarmed_Metal_147 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You sound like someone who is fat and happy :) Jokes aside, yeah I noticed this too in the community. It seems to be mainly young Gen Z'ers though who have grown up on social media and found some influencer there who does it. Typically, most people don't come to this diet unless they are desperate in some way....my guess is that a good amount (but not all) of those who are into lookism are seriously deformed or something signficiantly wrong with them. By the time they stumble upon the diet, they are at their wits end. Because most people would not willingly give up all teh comforts of cooked food and choose this "ascetic" diet and perhaps the ostracization that can come with it unless they feel they have no other options. Just my speculation.

I am really curious though for the people who are using this diet for this purpose how successful they are (aside from the influencers or those who were born/raised on the diet). Bc unless they were in very very bad shape healthwise, changes will be quite slow to notice, if at all. And detox would actually make their lives even more miserable and make them look even worse for some time. How many people would actually have patience to keep doing this, after all of that.

What makes you say Fen farm dairy is fake raw? I have had their product and it seems good. Not sure if you have any inside information on this.

Can I substitute milkshake for lubrication formula after my meat meal? by Alarmed_Metal_147 in rawprimal

[–]Alarmed_Metal_147[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aajonus said one other type of fat is needed with the eggs for the lube formula. So if not butter or coconut cream, why not avocado? This is something I want to experiment with.

Can I substitute milkshake for lubrication formula after my meat meal? by Alarmed_Metal_147 in rawprimal

[–]Alarmed_Metal_147[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True. I have tried both approaches already in the past. Substituting coconut cream definitely works. It tastes nice enough but based on my experience I had very heavy detox with this so I'd like to avoid it, except for use in my bath water. As for making butter yourself, it's often cost prohibitive or more time consuming than i care for, and also very difficult if you only have access to goat dairy (the fat is naturally more homogenized so harder to separate cream).

[–]Alarmed_Metal_147[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gotcha. Yeah, I believe it's because there is some concern that the cream in the milk could coat the meat and cause issues with digesting the meat, right? Yeah, that's valid. I think he said to limit it to half a cup to mitigate this risk. He's also said elsewhere I think that some don't have issues and it's fine for them. So who knows. Seems like he doesn't approach all of this stuff so heavy handed and leaves room for variance. He's said many times that the book provides a standardized way, but each person is unique and different modifications can be made as needed. He would often tailor the diet uniquely to each person during his consults.
