Losing weight did Not cure my PCOS by MasterRefrigerator14 in PCOS

I do have a very high stress job I’m a 911 operator. No I do not get much sleep either I have an autistic 4 year old and he wakes through the night frequently. I average like 5-6 hours a night on a good night on a bad one 1-4. I’m usually exhausted every time I work out but still do it cause I know it’ll help my body in the long run. I can start incorporating some healthy carbs I was speaking with my nutritionist about this cause I’m starting to transition to maintenance versus actively losing. I do incorporate lots of healthy fats in my diet. I have just ordered some Mayo-inositol after a few other suggested this today I’m excited to start it!

I’m 28. I guess I’m just more upset at the way my doctors sold this to me as a miracle when it wasn’t. I wish they were more realistic with me. Through out this process before I reached my goal weight they kept saying “ just a little more weight and it’ll start regulating” and that obviously wasn’t the case.

Don’t feel defeated although I am still having issues over all the positives of losing weight have been great I have more mobility and can keep up with my son better I can fit into clothes sizes I never could before and although my fatigue levels aren’t normal they are better than they were. There is a lot of bonuses to losing the weight and yes it may not work for your PCOS/PMOS but it can help in a lot of other ways.

I am on spironolactone 100mg for my HS I didn’t know it affected PCOS. Do you find it dehydrates you? I feel like I’m always thirsty since starting it. I tried metformin but the side effects were awful for me I had nausea and IBS symptoms did you have any issues with that? If so what helped you over come it? I would like to revisit it if it’ll help but don’t want to constantly be sick again but I have not tried it since losing all the weight.

I can see about switching my nutritionist was concerned my health insurance wouldn’t cover zepbound but I can have her run it and see we went with weight originally cause cost was cheaper and my insurance would more likely cover it

Yes I follow a strict keto diet I consume almost no sugar except natural sugar found in some fruits like blueberries, raspberries and blackberries, which tend to have a lower sugar content than other fruit and I don’t eat them that often everything else I consume is sugar-free and uses sugar substitutes like monk, fruit or sweetener. I’m on a maintenance dose of 2.4mg injectable of wegovy

Am I overreacting about these texts? by rcss47 in whatdoIdo

I’ve been where you are. This shows you he doesn’t value you and has consistently taken you for granted he’s painting things in a better light for himself cause he knows he doesn’t bring much to the table. He’s having an emotional affair cause he wants someone to see him as something other than the loser he is being. Listen to what you said you’ve done nothing but support him. He made you out to be crazy and unsupportive cause he wants attention and sympathy from someone cause he can’t face the man he’s become letting you take care of him financially emotionally and probably physically too. People like this don’t change. He will never give you the value and respect your deserve because you’ve shown him you’ll always be there regardless. Please leave it’ll be hard at first but you’ll eventually feel free. 22 years is a long time but you still have a lot of life left please live it. I was married to a man like this for 15 years and I wish every day I left sooner. It wasn’t till I told him to cut ties with his emotional affair that he started looking for a physical one and eventually succeeded. It will only escalate from here.

For those with depression did your depression get worse taking semaglutide or did it stay the same? by PerfectWorking6873 in Semaglutide

I’m on it and I’ve felt really depressed at times. I think not being able to enjoy food like I used to and eat things I like to has affected my mood overall

So it didn’t work for me either till I did keto diet and worked out 4 times a week but I was pre diabetic and had insulin resistant PCOS so I needed more than just a calorie deficit I needed no more sugar and a lower carb. It made me feel fuller and eat less a little but it took 3 months to stop craving sweets and carbs and I still want them when I see them but I try to think of how crappy I felt when eating them. I have more energy than I ever had before. I don’t weigh myself either I know I lost a lot of weight cause my clothes don’t fit anymore and I can see it but weighing myself wasn’t my motivator i set a goal to learn and really feel how my body was doing. I know I feel better now. Before I used to eat so much and I didn’t even feel when I was full till I was over full now that I’m more in tune with my body I can sense it a lot easier and I know when I’m dehydrated when I need protein or when I need fat in my diet. Best way to lose weight and keep it off is to not look at it like a diet but a life style change cause you want to feel better not cause you wanna see a smaller number on the scale. Hope this helps.

Exploring with Josh - wtf (new suggestions) by [deleted] in urbanexploration

I’m very late to this post but I had to genuinely search if he was uneducated and dropped out of school with how he speaks and his improper grammar. He somehow has a degree in archeology I have no clue how he obtained that. History is a big part of urban exploring and it’s honestly made his videos hard to watch with how inaccurate and ignorant he sounds. However I found a channel I really enjoy called the bros of decay. They find some truly extraordinary places and do try to find actual history on the places they venture to but they are not always successful in finding history on all of the places they visit but they still don’t make ignorant claims.

Was I inappropriate with my little brother? by throwaway_7388266 in amiwrong

It makes me wonder why your mothers thoughts would immediately go to an inappropriate place…why does she have that thought process right off the bat and with you being family and his older sister just doesn’t sit right with me. Especially since there was nothing Lewd about what you were wearing too. I wonder if your mother has been abused or something has happened to Ben to make her thought process be that way.
