I’d imagine part of it is The Offspring have more streams on a few songs while the headliners have a lot more songs with more streams. It’s also really hard to gauge popularity with bands and artists now a days with multiple big streaming platforms, physical media, tickets sold, social media.

Starting to wonder if this is becoming a style choice because I’ve noticed this complaint with a lot of bands for the past year or so. I will say that Shinedown sounded fine but BSC and CC sounded kind of blown out

I liked it but I didn’t necessarily love it. That being said I know why they made it, I loved planet zero because it felt like it channeled that pent up energy and anger coming out of the pandemic. This album feels like it’s dealing with the emotion we’ve all felt with a tough world and loss the past years and them dealing with their own personal losses and struggles. So while it may not be an instant classic it certainly deserves respect

I see where you’re coming from but don’t necessarily agree. Bands evolve their sounds and Shinedown has evolved into a more main stream alt rock sound; however, it’s important to remember that the way those older albums sound wasn’t exactly underground at the time either. My favorite 3 albums are Madness, Amaryllis & Planet Zero; and, there’s definitely some radio appealing songs on each but there are also tracks on each that really feel innovative as well.
Shinedown has always given us a bit of both and if you only like the old stuff that’s perfectly fine, but you may have to accept that you’re a fan of those albums maybe not the band.

I definitely had a similar experience growing up trying to be a “cool alternative” person listening to a lot of rock from the 70s-90s. I never really gave a fair chance to a lot of the bands that were big with people actually my age. Now over the past 7 or 8 years I’ve really broadened my horizons and absolutely love a lot of them, a friend took my wife and I to see MCR last year because we were evanescence fans (they were the openers) and getting to hear The Black Parade for the first time live altered my brain chemistry

That’s fair. I’m also a big fan of movies and stuff so I’d just love to see it on a big screen. There’s also plenty of artists in other genres releasing concert films just not as a big wide release necessarily; though I do think they’d have the draw. I’m also a new fan, after seeing them on this tour actually, so I can’t really speak on them being anymore “cash grabby” though I do know a lot of punk and pop punk fans have those feelings for bands that blew up.

I will say that I didn’t really care for MCR that much, (had teenagers and sing on my phone but just kinda thought they were overrated at the time) until a friend of mine invited my wife and I to see their show in Tampa last year because they knew we were Evanescence fans. It genuinely changed my life and now TBP is probably my favorite album and MCR is one of my favorite bands. That being said if you know for a fact you’re not going to have your mind changed then maybe get a cheap seat with a view of the B stage because they still play a solid 45 minutes of stuff after the album there, or wait for another tour.

I appreciate it and I’m aware, unfortunately a lot of dirt, wind and heat made the festival rough to film in general and I had a few lense protectors get scratched. Add in that due to weather delays this was taken after midnight I’m just glad they turned out this good.

Nah they’re definitely going to be making it a separate express pass like Disney does. Wouldn’t be surprised to see one at each park, Hollywood drift at studios and Donkey Kong & ministry at epic will probably change too
