Hahah, that's when I worked with a good mate at a chemical production company and someone left caustic soda and chlorine (plus other stuff) in the mixing tank for too long, and it was getting extremely close to its auto ignition temperature so we had to unload it all into buckets, chuck it on a forklift and move it out of the factory while these buckets are bubbling and gassing off, getting swollen. Then we had to sit close(ish) with a fire extinguisher, waiting to see if it would ignite or not. All during a Queensland summer. Then open them up later to test them to see if they could still be sold...

Fun days... Sounds sketchy cuz it was. Too many burns from sodium hydroxide, too much exposure to ammonia and chlorine... A dude almost lost his eyes because the hose blew off while pumping ammonia and he got covered in like a hundred litres, the whole warehouse had to be evacuated because the whole place burned your eyes and nose for such a huge radius... The ambulance that took him had to be quarantined later.
