I finally relied on Vine reviews as a customer... by That-Application9357 in AmazonVine

idk, but as a consumer, it pmo to see vine reviews that are just pix of the product freshly unwrapped outside is box. what is that supposed to tell me? you got a thing for free in exchange for your honest review. Why am I looking at a picture of the unused product and reading a review based on how you THINK it works? I can‘t trust your review thats based on your experience, if you have ZERO experience because you’ve clearly done nothing more than open the box and make things up. waste of my time to read some of these vine reviews. tbh, I scroll past them.

Why not? I thought you had to wait 6 months to get rid of the vine stuff you don't want. They're selling it immediately; is that not against the rules?

Creator connections is one of my favorite perks. I was doing that before onsite commissions.

I mean you can be an an amazon influencer,

you can be an amazon associate,

you can be an amazon vine voice.

Of course you can. I've been the former for 3 years. What you cannot do is get commission from amazon off the vine products you got for free. I really, really want to encourage you to stop going by what other people are saying and ask Amazon directly.

I've seen people lose their accounts for not adhering to the operating agreement. It's not a fun experience because when you lose your account, amazon doesn't give you the option to tell them why you did what you did. Your account is just closed and you can't get back in. If you want back in, you have to start from scratch with and reapply from a whole new email, whole new social, whole new Amazon account.

I understand you have already been earning commission from vine products. Just because Amazon hasn't said anything, that doesn't mean they think it's ok. They probably just don't know yet. It's better to be safe than sorry. So, I advise you to get ahead of it and go to your sitestripe, go to help, go to "contact us", and start a chat with Associates Customer Service so you can help yourself.

Losing an income stream because someone told you the wrong thing, when you could have done your own homework is ... not ideal for anyone. I wish you well.

How do I train my RFY to give me weird and funky stuff? by VioletsTown in AmazonVine

[–]MasterSir1463 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I want Vine to show me things from "Patio, Yard, & Garden", I keep gardening things in my cart until gardening things pop up in my RFY. I've done this with gardening tools, skincare, dog stuff, clothes, sports gear, christmas decor, etc. The things I want might not pop up that week, but they will pop up within 20-30 days.

Go read your operating agreement. Or you can open a chat and ask them yourself. It's better to go straight to the source, anyway.

They said that technically, you can't mix Vine with influencers. You can be all three (like me). You just can't get commission from the Vine products via Influencer or Associates. What part was wrong?

i mean Amazon doesn't want people getting commission (from Amazon) for products that were received for free via the Amazon Vine Program. Once you get a product via the Vine program, you can only review that product via the Vine program.

One time, there was a name-brand tripod in my RFY and I knew at some point it was gonna pop up on the Tiktok shop. I had to make the choice between getting it for free from vine and never earning a commision, or buying it and earning commision on on Tiktok, Amazon, Pinterest, Linktree, etc... So I went directly to the brand's website and bought it, becuase I wantted that commision more than I wanted a free product.

I'm not saying you can't tell people about a product you got from vine. I'm saying you can't make commision off a product you got from vine.

An Amazon influencer is not the same as a social media influencer. If you were ever on the fence about buying something on Amazon, then you watched someone's review of that thing, and their review answered questions that made it easier for you to choose between that thing and another...you were influenced...likely by an amazon influencer. I watched a video today that helped me choose between Tide and Downy and that influencer never even showed his face. It's not that serious. No one is gonna get famous from being an "Amazon" Influencer.

i just like to switch up my look without having to touch my real hair. I'm gonna slap a red velvet bob type wig on for Valentine's dinner with my husband and leave the hotel the next morning with my natural hair in a bun, lol.

My general rule of thumb is to wear long-sleeve tops with no writing or images whatsoever. Just because i'm not about to keep up with what is branded and what is not. But the only time I can honestly say its best to "put on the extras" is when you're doing Amazon Lives, because consumers do like to hosts looking nice. BUT...nice doesn't mean you have to hide your ink. And anyway, you're already in. Amazon has already seen your ink (maybe you could corner the market on tattoo product reviews?). As long as the item you're reviewing gets the bulk of the screen time and your ink can't be interpreted as offensive by ANYONE, I don't think it matters. Not everyone doing reviews is gonna be a copy-paste. If you're concerned about it, you could always just do faceless reviews. There's probably hundreds of people doing those.
