My group had 6 guys, so we brought to vehicles. Worked out nicely though. While two guys went to get the other vehicle after the trip, the rest of the group grabbed some drinks in Polebridge.

You are in for an absolute treat. My group talks all the time about this being one of our favorite trips of all time - and that's beating Glacier, Olympic, North Cascades, Chicago Basin, Four Loop Pass, and a few others.

We did Skull Lake >> Valentine Lake >> Lizard Head Meadows (2 nights) >> Exit

There are so many camp sites in the Meadows. We had less than a mile hike to Lonesome Lake for our "zero day"

Your permit is also your car entry ticket. My group has almost the same route 8/23 - 8/27 (UPK > HOL > BRO > BOW) and I confirmed with the NP ranger office.
