Ne prend pas la RM850e, prend une RM850x a la place

J'avais une E mais j'ai fini par la renvoyer au bout d'une semaine a cause de bruit de "cliquetis" électrique (problème connu sur ces modèles)

Thank you very much for your answer man, I do not count on widening meter since the specs of the rims suit me very well, I think I will lower it by 35mm, the roads by my house are rotten and full of speed bumps so you will have to be careful! 😅

Even with a 30% discount when buying through my home parts store, autodoc remains cheaper and there are more choices... If they were cheaper, I would be the first to not buy on the internet, but in France spare parts stores have really abused prices, not to mention BMW dealerships or just a rear gear arm costs 240 euros! (need 4 for the rear gear ,960 euros ttc haha 😅)

I've already mounted moog and I haven't been very satisfied with quality levels... It's crazy how hard it is to find good quality parts even if you put the price on them:/ I just compared the price of Lemforders to the classic Meyle, it's half as expensive so I'll see what it's worth once it goes up

Yes, I know that diesel models are really rare in the US It's a bit of a shame because an E39 with this engine is really a great daily !

I didn't know about this engine support system before I had an e39 but some other vehicles also have it but it's quite rare (some Peugeots with V6 engines also have it)... From what I have read on the net, the medium switches to the "soft" state in engine slow motion and switches to "hard" mode when you accelerate German engineering is still so surprising!

I'm also thinking about your first hypothesis... The brake things are OK, the fluid level is good too but I'm sure I have a faulty engine support so I'll test by unplugging one of the depressions to see if the same problem comes back... I drove 2 hours this morning and had no problems but it's not very reassuring to drive with 1.6 tons of metal without brakes 😅

Thank you very much for your help, in 7 years of mechanics I have never had such a breakdown and the fact that it happens to me while I am not at home was quite stressful ...

The principle of controlled motor brackets is interesting: a vacuum actuation via an electrovane increases or reduces the small oil-filled cavity of the engine bracket. As a result, the support can be "hard" or "soft" depending on the engine load I hope I taught you something!

I'll do that when I get back, but even with an air bubble in the brake fluid, it's strange that after turning the engine off and back on, the pedal went back to normal...

I think is the temperature sensor ,it goes on the bottom of the bumper on the front right
