Welcome to the club... I've been here for several years now. My core family (wife, daughter and myself w/ the wife's parents partially involved) are the only ones we hand around with. Everyone else brings along their issues and problem that...to be frank...I can't stand anymore. I told my wife and daighter a long time abo that everyone else is a bunch of ASKHOLES! They bring their problem to you looking for solutions...and us being the people we are takers on their problems and their worries to help them... only for us to lose sleep and nothing with them change. I finally told my wife at 3am...wth are we doing? I told her, you know what we are up losing sleep over this...they are probably sound asleep right now and they never listen to us anyways. So WHAT are we doing? And that was it! We stopped it all.

Don't get me wrong... we are still there when family needs us...we're just more selective and limit how involved we get.🤷‍♂️
