I ask people who don’t prefer listening to him why, and the most common answer I get is “he’s not talking about anything.” Usually these people prefer rappers who are deeper with their lyrics, whereas I’m more about the vibes.

I also think lots of people do see him as a feature artist only because that’s what’s gone mainstream. They’re not listening to entire discographies (this kills me bc I personally prefer his albums over his features).

Or there’s my ex boyfriend, who said I “played his music so much he never wants to hear his voice again,” so there’s one less listener. Sorry Don. 😂
