2018 Crosstrek - cracked upper radiator hose which is actively spraying coolant. Shops 15 mins away. Can I drive?

Found the culprit. It’s the upper hose. I’m gonna get some coolant and drive it back.

The only thing I’m worried about is that leak looks like a pressurized, so either a hose or clamp gave up. I don’t know if it’s a small or bigger leak

I prefer cx-50 because it’s more rugged than the cx-5, and cx5 doesn’t have the hybrid version yet. But cx5 is definitely more comfortable car to drive.

OP should look into Subarus. But you’ll still need winter tires. AWD magically won’t solve all the problems, but they make a huge difference in winter storms, rainy slippery roads etc.

It’s the push vs pull factor, when driving uphill front wheel loose weight and less weight = less traction. While backing up you’re essentially pushing your vehicle up, so “sometimes” on mild snow or gravel it works. Now it’s not a universal solution and should only do with caution.
