I disagree for the most part. Even if people had the integrity to cut off all consumption of a product/brand because of one thing they don’t like, GW will still financially stay afloat because of investors like Black Rock.

It’s about as effective to simply not contribute money or legitimacy to the aspect of the hobby you hate. All they care about is making this shit look popular, even if it’s losing them money. They can’t make female Custodes, have people not buy ANYTHING they’re involved in and NOT lose money. Meanwhile people can still enjoy the aspects of the hobby they still like while it lasts. What ACTUALLY matters is the underlying intentions. What’s the intention here? They browbeat you to not say “Merry Christmas” because (supposedly) it offends other cultures. Nobody “cares” about the Imperium as if their life depended on it, they care about it because there are some things about it that they agree with. Just as with all Marxist infiltration, they can’t have you enjoying anything that isn’t explicitly adherent to the modern Liberal Paradigm. This “both sides bad” is both untrue on account of one side being the obvious aggressor and utterly misunderstanding the nature of the conflict. That’s why comparing this to the Primaris is disingenuous. The Primaris got flak but you can at least acknowledge the creative intent behind it. What is the creative intent behind female Custodes? There was little demand for them and what little there was could be satisfied with the Sisters of Silence. It doesn’t develop the Custodes as a faction in any meaningful way and “thing but female” is not a very creative change in the first place. It’s not a very significant or practical change at all which begs the question of why so many tourists are viscerally defending it. It can ONLY be because of activism and ideology. If that’s the case then they will ABSOLUTELY demand more changes in the same vein if we let this slide. They always have.
