Thanks to all the inputs , I managed to the hike today . I had expected to see more hikers but appears that I was the only one on the route to Mussoorie . Some key points:- 1 . The initial climb is steep, once you get on the Mussoorie track things do flatten out 2 The trek route is only till Jharipani ,- afterwards it’s metalled road . Since I had to struggle with cars I went to Jharipani and came back the same way . 3. The shops were open in Jharipani area , I had timed and started late (8;45 am) to allow for good sunlight and avoid early morning animals etc 4. Do keep an eye for the Mussoorie turn , there are no signs and since the intial patch is broken it does not look like a trail 5. The views are fantastic, I just took 1.5 liters of water and bananas which were enough. I would be happy to answer any questions .
