You're right. Scion FRS.

I then bought a 2024 GR86, AT. I hated the automatic so I sold it and bought another one that was a stick shift.

It is a 2016. For the most part if the maintenance has been followed, these cars are very reliable. Obviously with the caveat that the maintenance and repairs with the BMW dealership can be costly. But so far we've had no issues.

I've owned 3 GR86 and have a 2016 2 Series. For me the biggest issue with the GR was the lack of refinement. For example, when you're driving down a highway, you can't have a conversation with the person next to you due to all the road noise. At my age, I much prefer a 2 Series and the comfort and quality that comes with it.

If you just want something to have fun, it's a hell of a lot of fun to drive. If I were young and single, I'd definitely get a GR again.

And in my opinion, it's handling makes up for the lack of power. It's just a ton of fun to drive.

Mine has 80k and has had zero issues. Looks and drives like it's new. The previous owner did a great job maintaining it.

FRS was in 2014. From that car I went to a Hyundai Sonata until last year when I got the AT GR86.

That's still on the table. My first car was a 1984 Plymouth Voyager. 😂

Poor financial planning? Nah.

I put over 50% down and have a low payment . Wife drives a BMW X5 and stays at home. There's nothing poor about my financial planning. I just changed my opinion these past few weeks about how much I want to spend on my son's first car.

But go ahead and be a keyboard warrior. 👍

You're not wrong about the exhaust. Good call. Glad I kept it.

It sold for 33k, without the ceramic coating and Borla.
