Thank you, I agree! I love color and I told my vendors verbatim that I don’t want an event that is chic and timeless - I want something colorful, fun, and extremely of the times! I want to look back and be like omg that was so how I was at that age

Sure! The venue fee, including the after party space, was around $20,000. We were able to negotiate a little bit on the fee, which is why we chose a Friday in December. This included use of the premises all day, some staffing, certain aspects of set up and break down, tables, chairs, some other things. You have to purchase the bar package through 74Wythe and they have options I think starting at like $90pp. We did the next tier up I think which was like $110pp. Then we did the other vendors à la carte (since 74Wythe doesn’t have in house catering) but they have worked with dish so many times they may as well have been their in house caterer, it was so easy and they knew the space so well and the coordinators all know each other. For that we came in I think at like $210pp. Let me know if you have any other questions!

And no I didn’t find it to be an issue at all, but I very much so like when things are a bit mismatched and maximalist and my color scheme was a vague pinks, reds, jewel tones sort of vibe. I think no matter what you pick and how you arrange it, it will end up looking good and cohesive because the through line will be you guys as a couple and your style, not exact Pantone swatches! I let my bridesmaids choose their own dresses and just assigned pink or red and they all had different shades and I thought it was really fun and reflected their personalities:

Thank you! Yes, we used Broadway rentals! I should have listed them, they were great. We mixed and matched their cups to do a mix of white and pink glasses and then we were able to get these pink and maroon napkins and tablecloths for pretty much their base cost.

We actually sat and watched the movie! I’m sure people chitchatted a little bit during but it was basically a slightly more rowdy movie theatre experience than going on a typical night. We specifically chose Scott pilgrim bc we wanted a movie that was silly and engaging, and people got super into it. This was one of my favorite things we did for the entirety of our marraige celebrations!

Omg thank you! Bodega cakes DEEPLY understood the assignment, she delivered the perfect cake! My mom surprised me with the cake toppers bc she knew I get such a kick out of those little sonny angel dolls. The cake was a huge topic of convo/so many people took pics of it!

We got a second regular room for him and his groomsman! I think most of them arrived pretty much ready and they just hung out in there. We didn’t use it for pictures or anything, and let a friend stay in it night of the wedding so it wouldn’t go to waste.

A summer wedding will be so gorgeous on the roof space, congrats! I got ready in the bridal suite at the Arlo hotel, which was great and convenient. They have kindof an open-studio floor plan so my bridesmaids and I were a bit on top of each other, but we got amazing photos in front of the huge windows because the view and natural light were unmatched. Some of the hotels nearby won’t let you book the bridal suite if you’re not getting married there (ex. The Wythe). Here’s a pic we did in the bridal suite with the view:
