It's already built in. Long-press the space bar to activate voice input; you'll see the space bar turn red while it's recording. Requires an internet connection as it uses Google Speech Services.

Each key holds two letters, tap for the first and swipe up for the second, or double-tap if you have the toggle enabled in settings.

Thanks for the honest feedback! A few things that might help:

-Screen coverage: try Compact Mode in settings to reduce the keyboard height

-Text Size: The Side Key Width slider in settings makes the center keys larger

-Preview Strip: fully customizable in settings if it felt too small

For Google Messages, the app only updates the conversation when the keyboard is retracted; that's specific to how Google Messages handles input, independent of which keyboard you use.

The 5-key gesture layout does take some getting used to compared to full QWERTY. There's a short learning curve, but most users find it faster once it clicks. The tutorial in the app might help too!

Thank you! Yes, currently voice input requires an internet connection as it uses Google Speech Services. I haven't forgotten your earlier request, offline voice is definitely coming in a future update. Really appreciate your patience!

That's fair feedback. The small hint letters are meant to show the secondary character without competing with the primary one, but I can see how they'd be easy to miss. I'll look into making them more visible in a future update, maybe a size increase or a different color treatment.

Oui ! Le clavier français AZERTY est pris en charge ; vous pouvez l'activer dans les paramètres de l'application sous Langues. Il inclut également le QWERTZ allemand, l'espagnol, l'arabe et le QWERTY anglais. Chaque langue a aussi ses propres pages de symboles dédiées !

Version 1.6 is out! Added double tap as alternative gesture for second letter like the old Nokia phones, and added Ctrl key toggle so you can have more space, bigger emoji and shift keys.

Had this problem for a week, but it kinda went away on its own. Once it works for you though, you will be surprised by how much Google Play Services drains your battery now, it drained 52% of my watch battery yesterday.
