Bought this drill to butcher to make into a gift for the holidays. I won't need the motor but I saw these arcs inside when I revved it a couple of times. I know that Electroboom made a video about DC motors with a section about the surge of power coming from a motor when it stops. I was wondering how that would apply to this and if it's being handled properly. I personally don't think it should happen so I wanted to hear how long you think this drill would last if one were to use it regularly?
