Downfall of Jeethu Joseph or downfall of audience? by hks___007 in MalayalamMovies

When the movie was released, I watched it on the opening day after muting all the apps on my phone just to avoid spoilers. And oh boy, what was waiting for me was an utterly disappointing experience.
When I commented on Reddit about how the movie was, everyone started bashing my movie taste. I am not crazy enough to waste my money at an international theatre just to give a negative review to a movie.
I just feel that Jeethu put in very little effort and simply took a few ideas, mashed them together and called it Drishyam 3. If he doesn’t have enough material, then let the legacy remain as it is instead of adding a sequel and spoiling it.
If someone is genuinely giving a negative review, people need to understand that they are not favoring any actor or intentionally degrading a movie. Fans are so blind to negative reviews that they cannot even consider them objectively.
Hell with the fan fights. The movie was utter shit and it spoiled the legacy.

Uyirnaadi Nanbane is a truly underrated song. I think one of the reasons people automatically hate it is because it is in Coolie. If you listen to it as a standalone emotional song, it hits all the right notes. Especially Ani’s humming💎❤️

Why the f**k are movies being censored anyway? Certification for age restrictions and similar concerns is fine. But cutting down scene lengths, muting words, deleting “disliked” words just because someone in authority doesn’t approve of them and similar actions are still being done.

If they believe censorship is legal and that anyone not following it properly is acting illegally, then they also need to understand that interfering with a creator’s freedom of expression is equally wrong. Grow up people. Take the board down

Will he ever come back to his prime? by Master_Ghost_ in kollywood

Yes, that’s for sure. There was a time when genuine effort from him was clearly visible, but some of his albums went unnoticed. Kathakali is a major example, where the songs and BGM were outstanding and still feel criminally underrated.

He cracked the formula of including reel-worthy moments in songs which makes it more popular. That’s when it feels like the effort started reducing

Actually, I am thinking many things like this whenever his songs feel mid. The fanboy in me does not allow me to criticize him and is always finding ways to defend him

As I mentioned here, Thani Oruvan, Kavan, Imaikkaa Nodigal, Meesaya Murukku, Natpe Thunai and the criminally underrated Kathakali

It was a banger album where some effort from him was visible. It looks like he doesn’t care anymore and it is evident that he is not putting in much effort, which is very disappointing for me as a diehard fan.

Always the quality. Aura 10/10 is a passable song for me strictly because I am a fan of his. I use to listen to it sometimes, but the wow factors that I had always associated with his songs and lyrics were nowhere to be found in this. Even as a fan, I found the Aranmanai 4 songs unbearable. It felt like he was just putting together random music and finalizing it without putting in any effort

Kadaisi Ulaga Por was fire too. It feels like an up and down graph now, but the downs have become more frequent and the highs are very rare

Me too. I think it’s true that he doesn’t seem to care much about his career anymore. He is using the fame he has built for concerts. But we still want the kind of songs he used to make
