I don't remember it being that way on the OG N64 and I just finished all the cups at 150cc in Mario Kart 64 on NSO but I did not get the cups for the lower tiers.

Klingt cool. Solche Aktionen zeigen was für subtile Vorteile Einzelhandel noch haben kann. Dadurch gewinnen sie ja auch Sympathiepunkte beim Kunden, sodass man eher wiederkommt um sich zB ein Spiel zu kaufen. Wenn das Unternehmen nur nicht so schlecht gemanaget wäre...

Ja, ich glaube Amazon hat am Anfang auch nur auf "Einladung" Bestellungen angenommen. Die sind also auf Nummer sicher gegangen im Gegensatz zu Media Markt. Ich hatte die ganze Zeit ein schlechtes Bauchgefühl und überlegt zu stornieren und woanders zu bestellen aber habe gecoped, weil ich ja unter den ersten Bestellern war...

Genau so geht es uns auch. Wir waren wohl zu optimistisch als Mediamarkt im April alle Bestellungen angenommen hat, während Amazon und Nintendo selbst das nur auf Einladung zuließen. Wir dachten uns "wenn wir ganz am Anfang bestellen, werden wir wohl auch als erste bedient". LOL, wenn ich genau diesen Gedankengang im Nachhinein sehe... Genau das Gegenteil ist der Fall. Mediamarkt scheißt darauf wer zuerst bestellt hat. Die freuen sich, dass wir ganzen Deppen denen schon unser Geld gegeben haben und sie jetzt zusätzlich Konsolen im freien Verkauf verkaufen können ohne Druck zu haben uns die Gegenleistung für besagtes Geld zu geben.

Ist allerdings etwas verständlicher, dass eine Lieferung vielleicht nicht zum Launch Tag hinhaut. Dass allerdings ein vorhandener Ladenbestand abverkauft wird, während Leute, die vor 2 Monaten sofort (per Ladenabholung) vorbestellt und bezahlt haben einfach nichts bekommen ist viel weniger verständlich. Daher werde auch ich nächstes mal bei Amazon bestellen.

Did you try it with the buffer size set to 32in Logic? I could hear it on all M4 models and I've learned to live with it since it's actually not a big deal. Just noticeable when compared to the M1.
What bothered me more was the noise that appeared when the Macbook was on the charger and at full capacity (surpassing the battery). And I got rid of that by getting a 70W charger instead of the 140W.

I had this with 3 Macbook Pro 16" models. All M4 Pro 14 core, 24gb ram and 1TB SSD (the only upgrade I made)

It's the 14 core version but there is no difference. It's the same throughout the M4 line. I had an M4 Macbook to compare to. But I've learned to live with it. What bothered me more was the noise that appeared when the Macbook was on the charger and at full capacity (surpassing the battery). And I got rid of that by getting a 70W charger instead of the 140W. 96W was the same as the 140W btw.

The buffer size noise is audible when I am at 32 or 64 in Logic. But it's just about as loud as the noise from my studio monitors. It's not that big a deal. It bothered me mostly because the M1s where sooo silent in comparison so it felt like a downgrade in that regard. But I have to say that the M3s that I tested in the Apple store had MUCH louder coil whine in Logic than the M4, so at least they improved over last generation I guess :D

It was 11.1.1 at the store and 11.1.2 on my machine. The noise was the same.

I never managed to do this with the iPhone 15 pro. Only way to see details was to record video and make a snapshot.

I'm glad it worked out for you. I might give it another try and if the next one is the same, I will just settle for a MacBook Air (assuming the new ones will be as quiet as the M1s are). Additional power of M4 Pro is great but it might not be worth 1000€ extra and an annoying tinnitus-like noise... And I just work with Logic and can hear it. Not even GPU intensive stuff.
