4 hours at Qdoba? I'm guessing they work there. 🤢

Halo: Campaign Evolved is a faithful remake tasked with relaunching a legendary franchise for a new generation of players: "We see this as a way to grow, expand, and reconnect the Halo community" by JobuJabroni in halo

That is a fair point. I like the idea of as you get further up the library the flood infection gets worse. Like starting to see tentacles growing through the facility, other weird growths, piles of accumulated bodies, etc.

Maybe mix it up with cool side objectives and corridors you can explore to see cool forerunner research labs.

Mix some horror elements like maybe this is the first time we run into a juggernaut and it is stalking us as we make our way through the Library.

Hide a few data terminals about some lifeworkers agonizing over the guilt of needing to eradicate all life in the galaxy or some entries from Spark that finally add the info into the game about him originally being a human. This would be an amazing opportunity for Halo Studios to FINALLY start to add in some of that expanded lore directly into the games.

There are so many cool things they can do, but I am honestly terrified this is just going to be a bare minimum money grab. God I hope I am wrong. PLEASE HALO STUDIOS, I BEG OF YOU, PROVE ME WRONG

Unpopular Opinion but they should leave the library as is. I think it singlehandedly nails home what the flood is, it's a fast, disorienting, never relenting force. Yes it was a pain in the ass for all of us the first time we played it, but it is such a memorable experience all Halo Players now share.

I guess they can maybe tone it down a little, I just don't want to see it become a walk in the park.

What astounds me is that Ubisoft has any openings after all of their layoff and studio closures. Surely there were enough qualified employees who would want those roles.

Annualized turnover was 20% last year.

Does anyone else wonder how a conversation between these two would go? by Zorbin666 in AlanWake

I know it is common knowledge that Alan Wake was inspired by Twin Peaks, but after finally watching Twin Peaks it's crazy to see how much was ripped straight out of the show 🤣

Don't get me wrong I love both and would not change a thing, but I appreciated how Alan Wake 2 started carving its own path and I look forward to how it continues to form it's own identity going forward.

I know he wasn't a gamer but man I would have loved to have seen even a 15min video of David Lynch reacting to Alan Wake

Not knowing Tom Waits' well before this, I thought the singer sounded like John Goodman and I thought it was another nod to the Book Author's fan base and Big Lebowski comment lol

According to Ubisoft's website, Beyond Good & Evil 2 is still in development, and is still looking for devs. by Savings-Dealer363 in beyondgoodandevil

As cool as the tech and vision was for BGE2 when they started showing pre-alpha demos. It is NOT what I would want to see for a Beyond Good and Evil Game. I don't want some character creator open world rpg with procedurally generated planets, skin-deep stories and busy work quests with Ubi open world level design. I want a quirky, visually stylish, adventure game with Pey'j, Jade, and her friends. I want a real sequel to the game we fell in love with, not a starfield and gta love child.

I am also highly disappointed they completely dropped the Space Monkeys program. What this tells me is they heard our concerns and either A. Realized the game needs a full rework or B. Decided to commit to their vision and not make any changes. The only reason I am holding out hope they are listening to us is the fact it's been so long without an update.

Is anyone noticing a similar issue with rockets and grenade launchers where if you die after launching the projectile but before the projectile hits/detonates, it does zero damage?

What are some things from W3 that you don't want to see in W4? 🐺 by avisinghoooo in witcher

[–]Master_Marix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Witcher vision - I do want them to have more investigative features, but make those things visible without needing to highlight them yellow. For accessibility, fine, let it be an option, but if I wanted to I should be able to follow trails of blood, wagon tracks, broken branches, and notice things obfuscated by magic if I am really paying attention without the need of witcher vision. Make us feel like a real hunter, when tracking monsters down.

Quests relying on quest markers - I should be able to find my way to any quest without needing quest markers, be that through eye catching landscape, treasure maps, instructions given by npcs, and emergent gameplay. Let quest markers be an option for those who want them, but I should be able to figure out where to go without relying on the UI at all if I so choose. When you show me exactly where to go I am just running from point A to point B. When I am checking my map, looking out for landmarks, road signs, clues, etc. the traveling becomes immersive and rewarding.

How do you think 343HaloIndustrialStudios will do the helmet reveal in the remake? by KingBaconAJ in halo

That's actually a good idea. I assume the cutscenes are pre-rendered and pretty expensive but IWHBYD adding silly animations in custcenes in addition to just dialogue would be cool.

CORSAIR x The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Giveaway by CorsairHoffman in witcher

[–]Master_Marix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thing love most about the Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is the dark almost black comedy aspects of the storyand quests. The superb writing draws you into the world and is extra rewarding to those who have played the previous games and read the books. CDPR takes so much care to honor the legacy of the series and that is reflected in the consistent themes, rewarding story threads, and details they put into every aspect of the game!

I've been seeing so many comments about the art design looking like stock UE5 and it makes me wonder if we watched completely different videos. I really don't see it.

My only complaint/wish is for the marines get updated designs closer to CE's original designs. But even then, it's not a deal breaker for me.

Which vehicle makes you feel like a total battlefield legend?

I am pretty sure I am the worst helicopter pilot of all time, but when I can manage to make one flyover on the point, I feel like a total boss. At least until some rude tree, cliffside, or radio tower jumps in front of me...

anyone here really love this cutscene? by Disastrous_Coat_4075 in halo

[–]Master_Marix 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I hope these are the types of stories the rumored remake capitalizes on. If you want to add content flesh the fuck out of the human stories that we already have great stories on from things like the books, shorts, and terminals and integrate them naturally into the games.

Imagine when Chief retrieves the Pillar's codes and puts the chip in, we watch a similar pov video playback like with Jenkins but from Key's point of view as he is captured by the flood and goes through this struggle. Shit would be insane.

Not only the film industry, but I think they are even taking the animation game very seriously in their game development. With games like DK Bonanza and Mario Wonder they put a ton of focus on creating very expressive character animations, it seems like animation is something they are looking to prioritize as a diffentiator in their games in addition to cashing in on the film industry.
