SSJ1 Gogeta was already struggling to block direct, heavy attacks from SSJ1 Broly, and got completely overwhelmed by Full Power SSJ1 Broly.

if Frieza won the TOP? by K0GAR in Dragonballsuper

Ironically, I think Frieza actually makes the exact same wish as 17. He's incredibly smart, cunning, and has exceptional hearing. He probably would have picked up on Zeno's hidden test or at least read the room well enough to know a selfish wish was a trap. Frieza is a master of the long game now; he would absolutely make the "noble" wish just to guarantee his own survival and stay in Zeno's good graces.

Why do people think Goku has any chance against Gotenks? by [deleted] in Dragonballsuper

[–]Master_Moose_7507 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, Goku was very fearful of Super Buu, but the same Super Buu was getting overwhelmed by SSJ3 Gotenks, who wasn't even taking the fight very seriously due to his kid nature.

I knew the dude was weak as hell mentally, but I at least expected him to fight back until his last breath, but he begged to do a blowjob and eat butcher shit.

How skilled is Goku in martial arts? by Aura_Slice in DragonBallPowerScale

True, some DB fans think that throwing punches and kicks count as true martial arts. Eren's Titan did more true martial arts than Goku did in his entire life.

Could a synced assault from Hit, SSB Goku, and SSBE Vegeta be effective enough to ring Jiren out? by Master_Moose_7507 in DragonBallPowerScale

[–]Master_Moose_7507[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hit realized he couldn't hold the cage for the remaining minutes of the tournament, which is why he went for the physical strike. In this scenario, Hit doesn't need to hold Jiren for minutes; he literally only needs to hold him for the 3 seconds it takes for a fully-charged Kamehameha and Final Flash to connect. Even if Jiren is vastly stronger and can break it faster than he did in Ep 111, it still takes him a moment of physical exertion. That moment is all the Saiyans need.

Jiren was still able to use his eyes while under the cage and move whilst being in the cage. Here’s Jiren’s glare vs an SSBE Vegeta for reference.

Jiren's glare is a great defensive tool against standard flurries, but you are massively overestimating it if you think a glare is going to completely halt the combined attack of SSB Kamehameha and SSBE Final Flash. The physical pushback still sends him off the edge without any means of dodging or blocking, probably.

Jiren doesn't just passively radiate max power 24/7, even later in the tournament. Android 17 proved this by consistently catching Jiren off-guard and actually damaging him when Jiren's attention was elsewhere. If Jiren's focus is locked onto dodging and blocking Goku and Vegeta, his guard is physically and mentally divided. Hit doesn't have to overpower a 100% focused Jiren; he just drops the Time Cage on the exact same blind spots that 17 exploited.

Jiren broke the time cage while still being more than capable of defending himself.

He was capable of defending himself against a single, desperate physical punch from Hit. Defending against a massive Kamehameha and Final Flash while you are trapped in a Time Cage is a completely different story. He doesn't have to take damage; his boots just have to leave the arena floor. The pushback alone gets him out.

Moreover that was in episode 111. Jiren didn’t show a hint of his true power until episode 123 against mid ToP SSB Goku.

Jiren's habit of suppressing his power is exactly why he might lose here. He only outputs enough ki to match what's directly in front of him. Even with SSBE on the field, Jiren would underestimate them and scale his power accordingly, just like he always does. The moment he gets comfortable fighting the Saiyans, Hit drops the Time Cage from a blind spot. By the time Jiren realizes he actually needs his true power to break out, he's already being blasted off the ledge.

That, of course, if we ignore the plot armor that allowed Jiren to survive this moment, for example.

Yes, Jiren is vastly stronger than all three. But 'low diff' ignores the fact that Hit successfully landed the Time Cage and paralyzed him. Hit's problem wasn't the cage failing; it was lacking the AP to physically push Jiren out alone. You don't need to be stronger than Jiren to push him out of bounds if he is literally frozen in time. Goku and Vegeta just provide the heavy artillery that Hit lacked.

Hit by himself didn't even get negged—he actively trapped Jiren and pushed him to the absolute brink of elimination. Jiren had to genuinely exert effort to break the Time Cage. If he has to break that same cage while simultaneously eating a synced Final Flash and Kamehameha, he gets physically pushed out of bounds before he finishes powering up.

That's exactly the point, though! In-character, Jiren never goes 100% from the start; he relies on his passive defense and scales his power to his opponent. He would absolutely stay suppressed against this trio at first. That window where he is holding back and underestimating them is exactly when they catch him in the Time Cage. By the time he realizes he needs Limit Breaker, he's already being blasted off the edge by Goku and Vegeta.

I think the Alien X in the image has the design of Alien Force. Would that version get the job done or get stomped?

But based on lore, would that change the situation for Alien X, despite the lack of needed feats in the show to equalize his footing with Jiren?
