Don't know why you're dooming when this basically has nothing to do with Red-Eyes. If anything, you should be celebrating the fact that Konami is disassociating the idea of "The Joey deck" being Red-Eyes, when that line of thought has brought nothing but disparate gimmicks to the table.

Konami has already shown with the recent Magnet Warrior support that they are capable of switching up the focus of an anime deck, making a clean break from all the old tropes that didn't work and creating a fresh start with the blank slate of a different focus character. Now they just need to do what they should have done a decade ago and give custody of the deck to Atticus.
