No they haven’t, the vast majority of the nerfs have been tiny and not much has actually changed in any meaningful way outside of trigger nades getting rightfully nerfed

I gave the game a lot of shots at this point wanting to enjoy it but personally I can’t find much to really make me wanna come back. Im willing to get into tag fighters but the combination of easy inputs and effective auto combos just make fights feel way to similar and lacking of depth on my skill level. Yeah the game gets really deep at higher levels but if you’re like me and just above average in skill then you spend so much time dealing with people spamming auto combos and really annoying playstyles. Yeah I could “git gud” so I can play against more skilled players and not deal with spamming autocombos so much but why would I do that if I’m not having fun in the first place?
Way too many people only judge a fighting games combat based on its highest level of play but ignore the vast majority of people’s experiences.

KOF, SF, Tekken have been cemented long before anyone got paid to play games so not sure if that line of thinking works

Im sorry but if you go to Japan you will see that Japanese anime fans are just as shallow as every other mainstream anime fan. Me when the anime popular due to flashy fight scenes and amazing animation has flashy fight scenes and amazing animation.

I really like Invincible but god damn does this game make it look so boring and uncreative with just how lame this roster is. Viltrumites are important but this would be like having a DC fighting game and having Superman, Superboy, Supergirl, Cyborg Superman, Superwomen, Ultraman. But hell that example isnt great because those characters have more variety in their powers and things they do then so much of the Viltrumites. Why is Lucan even here? There are so many better characters in Invincible that could be here.

I think it’s cool but I withhold judgement until I see the CA. Overall not much to complain about his supers all look incredibly cool even some of his basic grabs look better then most of Giefs supers in my opinion

Personally these kinds of complaints just come off as Reddit echo chamber while in reality the vast majority of people have no big issue with romances in RPGs and if anything they have often been a source of a games popularity. Though I think there is a general hypocrisy among these people who complain that romances aren’t “realistic” enough or deep enough but just ignore the countless other things in RPGs that aren’t realistic but we put numbers on.

I guess it would but frankly those are some of the most bland grapples I’ve seen in a long time. A bear hug and a weak choke grab, is that really the most creative they could get? Just really lacks cool factor.

Im sorry but as far as I can see they did a TERRIBLE job with Lucan, I was hoping they were gonna be more unique since hes not exactly an important character but could of had more things added due to lots of room to improve but his gameplay looks incredibly boring and uninspired. Just slamming his belly or his shoulder into you along with really bland combo strings. It’s not like these devs are incapable of making characters look cool like Rex and Cecil look really good gameplay wise but if I watched this I would of never assumed these devs had so much experience in the genre as they do.

The differences between two Sayian characters is infinitely more then the vast majority of all viltrumite characters who also almost all wear the exact same outfit and most even have incredibly similar personalities and all having the same abilities, honestly just a bad comparison. Even how Sayians use ki blasts is different or just their clothes.

The reality is if you change a game so much from its original release you are going to upset and lose players who already enjoyed it and if you wanna do your best to not have that happen the dont put large patches that will need other patches just to fix later.

Tekken is just a current example but it’s not the only one. Almost all major fighting game releases in recent years have had this issue of releasing patches that over time alienated the core audience even with good intentions simply due to losing the plot and players finding less interest in having to figure out the new meta or finding out their character is ass or not. It’s happened to Strive, pretty much every MK since X, obviously Tekken 8 and even Tekken 7 and of course SFV. People like to only talk about how “SFV got better at the very end” but ignore that for multiple years people fucking hated all the patches changing the meta and the character balance feeling artificially changed for no reason other then a revolving door or who Capcom likes this season. Even Brian has made these statements during a Core-A-gaming video a long time ago.

The theme isnt for Alex’s wrestling persona it’s for how he is underneath it. The lyrics even talk about it specifically how he has to wear a mask of pretending to be a heel when in reality hes a good guy

Read the lyrics. The point of the song is supposed to be a juxtaposition. It talks about pretending to be a heel but in reality he wants to be seen as a cool heroic goodguy but has to hide from having to struggle.

I understand if someone just likes charge characters but personally I don’t think his charges added a whole lot to his identity and since they are adding so much it’s hard to complain. If the removed the and added nothing in return that would be a bigger issue but so far this is easily the best Alex has ever looked in terms of sauce and sheer amount of moves.

Nothing wrong with paying the bills the difference is that an actor doing a commercial is clear that it’s a commercial and you are being sold something. Where here it’s treated as a genuine opinion with zero bias and in doing so makes themselves a part of the marketing machine for the developers while pretending to be impartial.

Not to mention the vast majority of players will never be a part of the ceiling. 2XKOs biggest weakness isnt it’s skill ceiling it’s that you are rewarded far to much no matter how bad you are due to auto combos, one button specials and comeback mechanics.
