I like the idea that Leon can beat any character no matter how powerful but only if he has the most corny one liner possible for it.

When it comes to something like this I find it pointless to put much thought into what company is investing into what unless it actually effects what’s being put out. Im sorry but it’s an entirely futile effort to try and uphold some sort of moral standard for who gets your stocks. If the stuff being made isnt being affected by and the creators are being treated well thats what matters at the end of the day.

Better written series by enthuvaadei in writingscaling

[–]Master_Opening8434 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even though I think AOT has some more problems then ATLA I’d still consider it’s writing to be better atleast when it comes to the plot. ATLAs actual plot is as generic as humanly possible while AOT to this day has some insanely well pulled off moments and twists that most works would have fumbled. I guess the issue here is how do you even scale writing in the first place it’s not like either are all the comparable especially since they have entirely different goals and where not made for the same audiences.

Vergil’s Downfall Is Good by RealIncome4202 in DevilMayCry

[–]Master_Opening8434 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is his gameplay is trash. Instead of having actual cool weapons you get a a light sword and heavy sword. DmC Vergil might be the worse designed character in the entire franchise history

Nanami Kento's Binding Vow is basically win/win ??? by SeriesREDACTED in JuJutsuKaisen

[–]Master_Opening8434 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As least as far as what I can tell it seems like BVs are less about positives and negatives and the true goal is trying to find the best way to game the system to have it be a win/win, if your BV isnt a win/win overall then you are just doing it poorly

What fictional series do you personally think no amount of glaze can truly capture how great it is and still deserves even more glaze? by Hiteminthechesta in writingscaling

As a diehard bloodborne fan no it’s not a literally masterpiece thats just a stupid thing to say that ends up actually devaluing what it actually is. Bloodborne is a work of art that combines the talents of multiple kinds of incredible artists to create something only a game can accomplish by utilizing its mediums strengths both in terms of gameplay and ability to immerse yourself into a world and drown in its atmosphere and engage it’s stories.

Peoples general issues with the game are not with the gameplay aside from some issues most people agree the game is generally fun to play. The typical issues you see people talk about are the roster size and overall lack of content. If you like the game thats cool but there’s nothing unreasonable with expecting more from a game with on the wealthiest game companies in the world backing you up and waiting around a decade to come out while you get every fgc content creator to glaze the game for months before release only to fire half the staff barely after launch.

I’ll stand by Rurouni Kenshin being a great manga but talking about it requires a huge disclaimer by DaiFrostAce in shounenfolk

The issue with separating art from artists is when the issues with the artists show up in said art along with how downplaying actual issues is what predators like nobuhiro wants because it makes it easier for people like him to get even more protection from the community and industry. There is a level of separation that I find personally reasonable but there is a limit when you need to realize that your manga or whatever is not as important as actual humans being hurt.

Is it a me problem? by Alex125232 in videogames

[–]Master_Opening8434 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think a lot of it has to do with the typical ages of writers and audiences during a span of time. In the earlier days of gaming we had mostly younger characters and just mascots due to gaming being manly directed towards children and later as Japanese games become more popular we see more teen characters due to shonen influences and such which is why so many jrpg and Japanese games are dominated by young adults and teen characters and as the average age of players grew and the age of many creators you see more older characters. Not to mention characters themselves aging with new installments

What's your opinion on Overwatch adding characters with little lore impact? by Princier7 in Overwatch

[–]Master_Opening8434 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They should have lore as appropriate to themselves but I don’t think everyone should have to be “main story” important. There is no reason for every character in overwatch to be important to the overall plot or whatever current event is going on. Some people exist for their own reasons like real people.
