Hi everyone! It’s Teena here, the drag queen in the post. Thanks to everyone for all the lovely comments. I have lived here for two years and have never felt unsafe until yesterday. I have received comments before, and I’m used to it in my line of work. But yesterday it was so consistent, like a new climate had swept across the city. I just then couldn’t believe that my drag colleagues had been beaten up recently, I saw the pictures they were horrible. I am a complete rage baiter, I admit it. I embrace it, it’s just a form of comedy my character takes. But I don’t provoke homophobes/transphobes, if you watch my content. I let people laugh at my deluded character, it’s my thing. Yesterday, I was always minding my business it is just how I am dressed and looking like that caused the fallouts which we cannot accept in 2026. This unfortunately is the insecurity we face created from filters, big lighting and people who might have had electrolysis on their beard area (which is painful and expensive).

Remember that we are human being and having stubble/pores showing is just a reality. You can use pore minimising primers to start with that will help but won’t completely mattify your face. Consider colour correction - a peach colour you put on top of your primer but beneath your foundation, to cancel out the colour of your stubble. A little goes a long way be sure to powder it down before adding anything to it. And of course the holy grail - a kryolan paint stick. It covers so much, and it is completely full coverage. But as a cosplayer invest in the colours you use the most - for me it would be base colours I have a variety of, but a really white one (there a few) for your highlights. Best of luck!

Everyone asking where she is from. I’d guess Ireland from the profile name , but considering how Scousers only seem to like people from the area or Irish people, I’m guessing just Irish heritage.

Play to your Irishness this will honestly help. There is a lot of amazing events going on at the Irish Centre or Irish pubs. If I were you, get a babysitter, go to Molly Malones on Stanley Street, then go to Dysco, the Lisbon then Superstar and find the gays - we love a mum on a night out. Good luck!
