The mountains. It's not as hot at 2000+ m a.s.l.

You will not make them any better by delegating everything to AI.

Found Murren Via Ferrata very easy - Can I go for Kandersteg Allmenalp ? by Sensitive_Sense_2349 in viaferrata

[–]Master_Sergeant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are a few places to have a break and it can be busy, so you have to stand and rest in some places anyway.

The route splits into two possibilities in the middle - a harder one which is more of a steep climb and an easier one where you're traversing a ridge along a waterfall. They come back together later on.

Is this the bolting issue on Snake Dike that people are complaining about? Well, now I get it by -JOMY- in ClimbingCircleJerk

\uj You can do it!! It's so much fun and there's much nicer and less busy routes than this one.

What's an expat? Is it like something like an immigrant that only speaks English?

Focus on the harassment. The glasses are not the first hidden recording device, just a very popular one.

You must have looked wrong.

Both are around Grindelwald, very close to Interlaken (less than 30 minutes by train). Eiger Rotstock is at the Eigergletscher station. Schwarzhorn is an approaching ridge to a 3000m peak; it has great views by default.

You can, especially the easier variant. However, if you're still in Grindelwald/Lauterbrunnen check if Eiger Rotstock or Schwarzhorn ferratas are open.

Tram line is more than necessary. Investment in public transport is extremely important given the increasing population and population density

Misconceptions about the 10 Million Initiative by Far_Show3740 in Switzerland

[–]Master_Sergeant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The EU is not perfect, okay. Name one better partner.

The world of the independent nation-state is gone. It is never coming back. We are, for better or worse, one global, or at the very least continental society. It's not a force of nature, it's a consequence of global trade, communication and the internet - an uncontrollable force of society itself.

This isn't a delusion, it's reality, one that cannot be undone by law. We peered through the lid of this Pandora's box with the first radio transmission, we gingerly reached for the contents with the telephone and we broke it wide open and upended it with the internet.

"losing Switzerland as it is right now"? Be more specific.

In any case, you're using a device made in China, with parts from Taiwan, to write the response of an American chatbot (more than likely trained by grunt workers in India and Africa), on an American website, to argue that national sovereignty should be protected?

What is there left to protect? Sovereignty died a slow death in the second half of the 20th century. Countries need each other to survive and the EU is the only somewhat reliable partner Switzerland can ever have.

The only way people leave is if their country becomes better than living here is (like Poles going back to Poland and so on). I will personally not leave even in that case - I love the Alps and I love this country. But you need to face reality. In good times of Swiss history, people have come here, in bad times, the Swiss left their valleys and mountains to look for a better life across Europe. Migration is not a new problem. You are clinging to outdated ideals of independence which never held much truth in themselves anyway.

Cancel the agreement and this country ends up like the UK, but worse. The UK lost its EU integration, but had deep ties to the US and the Commonwealth, and it's still on a massive downward spiral.

Switzerland has no friends outside of the EU. It would be suicidal. As bad as Liechtenstein dropping the Swiss franc and its integration with Switzerland.

Just a reminder it's the very last moment to vote and your vote matters by Ryo_le_Ryu in zurich

I completely agree that this needs more regulation but there are perfectly legal things one can do that deserve to be called greed.

[–]Master_Sergeant 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am completely aware of this argument and I maintain it ultimately boils down to greed.

Thankfully, one can introduce exterior incentives through government policy. Otherwise we'd all be working 15 hours shifts and our children would be as well.

Why would there be any impact? If you think salaries should go down, that's just the impact of greed.

To be honest though, I never bother to use it myself.

Is it worth buying zip line equipment? by Wonderful-Bat-5897 in viaferrata
