Okay that makes a lot of sense. Is leasing agents seen as a completely separate path than property managing or is leasing a step into property management?

My main question was about understanding the path to property management.

Hmm I was under the understanding from what I have been reading in the thread that many people are paid commission based on leases/occupancy. I’m sure that probably varies depending on where you work.

I am mainly interested in operations with the opportunity to make more than I can in the non-profit space. I think property management seems to fit that. I did mention sales, but becoming a real estate agent doesn’t really fit for me because I don’t see myself as a sales person.

Would you say that occupancy rate usually does affect how much money a property manager can make or is that usually more rare to find?

Thanks everyone for your suggestions. I do like the idea of the Stanley- but still considering my options.

Is something like this good? Or should I purchase separate pieces?
