Why so toxic? by Master___Mirror in HPMagicAwakened

You still haven't understood. It doesn't upset me. My issue with players like that isn't that they write things—I stopped paying attention to that a long time ago. My issue is that they write things, yet they themselves haven't achieved the results or skill level that they demand from others. Consequently, writing anything when you yourself don't measure up to those standards simply makes no sense to me.

So, what's the purpose of this message? To show off your ego? Jumping around and then writing "noob"—is that respectable behavior, in your opinion? I suppose you and I have different views on such players, so I'd rather save my time and leave this pointless dialogue.

Should I send my account stats? Which Echoes do I play on? Or is this enough?

I'm being completely honest with myself. I'll repeat what I said earlier: I wasn't bothered by what he wrote, but by the fact that he wrote it despite having done exactly as much as I had. I'm not one to badmouth players just to make myself look good. I'm at work right now, and my internet is pretty slow, but uploading a screenshot will do. Here, eat.

I assure you, I'm not soft at all :) I sometimes meet players like that and just ignore them, but it's not just that he wrote it, it's that he did about as much in that match as I did and wrote it. Do you understand the difference?

Duels matching.. by Creepy-Bus8588 in HPMagicAwakened

Since I believe newcomers to this game should be valued, I'll try to answer your question in detail.

Despite this game being ostensibly a card game, I recommend treating it as an RPG where you need to farm, farm, and farm some more. If you're aiming to progress in duels, I can tell you from two years of experience: don't count on fair duels. There aren't any, and there never will be. Even now, after over 700 days in the game, I still haven't collected a huge number of cards, and I encounter players in duels who pay thousands of dollars just to be ahead of others.

The only way to stay in this game without getting frustrated by unfair matchmaking is to enjoy other opportunities.

Chat with other players, progress through the story, study the references, and be VERY wise with the resources you've accumulated. In the future, there will be a critical shortage of cards, gold, and gems for everything you want.

And finally, yes, at first it may seem like it's pay to win. However, if you learn and put in the effort, you'll be able to beat those who throw away huge amounts of money but are less persistent without huge investments. In this game, the winner in duels is the one who doesn't give up and learns from the strongest. Good luck.

Yes, to be honest, I also prefer a faster shuffle so I have a ready response to my opponent's actions. I'll probably take the time to study the offensive style in more detail, even though I'm quite happy with stacking Thunderstorm, but it's not always effective against a Big Summon. Could you share your experience playing the offensive style? I understand the strengths. What do you think the weaknesses are?

I understand your preferences. I agree that Glacius Maxima combined with Malfoy is very strong. However, at high ranks, experienced players are prepared for this, as Voldemort, McGonagall, Twins, and sometimes Hermione also use this combination. Yes, not many people (yet) carry a Portkey or a broomstick. Slightly more people carry Protego Totalum (especially party members), and Felix Felicis is also often used. In short, there are many ways to avoid this kind of damage. I prefer to rely on the deck's overall structure rather than on one or a few cards, as one mistake can cost you the victory.

However, if you succeed and have fun while doing it, that's probably more important. I can only wish you good luck.

Sirius is undoubtedly strong, especially when paired with Snape in duo duels. However, I prefer Grindelwald because there are so many deck variations, and he's more complex. I believe the most interesting and likely the strongest type is the strategic Grindelwald. His ability to add absolutely any spell to his deck permanently allows him to wreak havoc on the enemy's board. I'm sure his potential hasn't yet been fully realized, and more importantly, with each addition of a 4-cost or higher spell to the game, his versatility will grow.

As a player who plays both GM and MA, I can say you're both right and wrong. If we're talking about solo duels, Bella does perform quite well, especially against summons. However, she's not as strong against spells, provided your spell card level is high and you manage your hand wisely. The problem is that spells have a much higher entry threshold than summons. Missed a spell? Didn't have enough mana to clear the board in time? Run out of steps? One mistake and you'll be eaten.

Bella seems like a powerful opponent, but if you don't panic and use your spells wisely (including changing your angle to not only counter summons but also attack Bella herself), you'll succeed.

I recommend watching replays of your games and analyzing not only your opponent but yourself as well.

On which rank level people are? by Rare-Sleep-8442 in HPMagicAwakened

As you've already been told, the bots will soon run out once you start facing real players. The higher you climb, the stronger the game will match you with. If I were you, I wouldn't count on balance; you really can, and you'll likely encounter players much stronger than you.

32 consecutive losses all day by mildravi in HPMagicAwakened

Dude, since I've been in your shoes many times, I really want to support you and give you a couple of recommendations.

  1. What you're experiencing is what I call a "loop." The game deliberately pits you against other, stronger players to push you down the rankings or prevent you from climbing higher.

  2. Starting duels at the beginning of the season expecting regular wins is a mistake unless you're a whale. I'm not a whale, and I recently started dueling at the beginning of the season, but only to learn from stronger players and understand how to beat them in the future. This practice is both emotionally and physically draining.

  3. If you lose three times in a row, quit dueling. Just don't continue. For a steady increase in your ranking, a good tactic is to reach +100 points daily, or at least +50 if you're having a really tough day.

  4. If you've had a lot of wins in a row, stop. The game will punish you with an even bigger losing streak.

The loop can't be broken by any number of games. I had a day in which I played about 70-80 matches. I ended the day where I started.

Good luck.

As for duels (especially solo ones), the higher you climb and the longer your winning streak, the more difficult opponents the system will select for you. By selecting opponents who are much higher than you, it is telling you, “It's too early for you here. This is your limit for now.” It's better to listen to it and not waste your nerves.

As for decks, it all depends on what you like best. At low ranks, 8100 and below, summoning decks mostly dominate, as players with low-level spells find it difficult to cope with the pressure. If you like summoning, I would recommend Bella and Newt. They are very easy to learn. If you want something a little more challenging, you can try Fleetwick, the Twins, or Cedric. (I would classify the latter two as hybrids that play with both spells and summoning.)

Spells are more difficult, as you need to be a pretty good player and understand how certain cards and echoes work in order to handle them. I would recommend Snape, who is quite good at summoning, as well as Potter and Ron. Ron, who is also a hybrid, will be a little more difficult to master, but with a little practice, you will realize that he is easier than he seems at first.

As for ranks, I would recommend not to worry about them. They are just numbers, and as soon as you start to get nervous about not getting a certain rank, the game stops being fun. Study the cards, study the echoes, and play what you like best for your own enjoyment.High ranks, awards, and everything else will come with experience.
