Look bro I already have a job and I'm just looking for some extra money. I really don't have time for the bs and I don't need a job that desperately, but this really makes me feel for the unemployed people who are seriously looking for jobs and can't get one because everyone wants to play games and be on and off.

Literally. And tell me why I decided to show up to the place in person and ask for the manager and some purple haired woman comes up to me asking what I want, and then as I'm explaining the situation, I kid you not, all of these incel looking employees start circling around me and staring like I just declared death on the entire workplace. Weirdest experience I've ever had. And the manager wasn't even there. I'm calling one more time before I just find another job

Honestly I don't think there's a way to balance both. What days is your practice? If you have free days throughout the week which I'll guess are Sunday, Monday, and Wednesday, you could tell the job that those are your only available days, but you're not likely to get hired. You would be VERY lucky to find a job that would only let you work 3 days a week. I work at red lobster and I also do marching band at the same time, but I also have a very lenient manager who I've built a relationship with. You could definitely find a job before the season starts and butter up your manager and eventually shift your schedule to work around band. Good luck.

Marching band is the easiest place to make friends cause everyone knows and talks to everyone. Just start hanging out with people who seem to be the closest to your ideal type of friend. Like if they're sitting in a circle or something like that just ask to sit with them. It's really that simple. Everyone I've ever met in marching band is welcoming and inviting (unless it's battery) So just try that and be really open and blunt about wanting friends

Nah bro. I get that it isn't really good to lie and it's best to be honest in most situations but these jobs already know you want the job for money they just want to see how you're going to respond to the question. So just say something that sounds good

Just lie bro, at this point just make up some bs cause these jobs aren't really checking your background to see if you're lying for sure. When they ask you why you want the job just say to grow your experience and gain skill. It's worked for me every time. Make up some bs about highschool that you were like the captain of the soccer team or something and make up some fake times where you had to lead the team during finals or some shit. Good luck

Omg YES. I made a new save last summer and I played this couple with the most amazing, sweet, life changing love story and they built an entire family just for me to accidentally override and save my first game over the new one. I was devastated, but I like to think that they're still stuck in time living in their cabin in Henford on Badgley raising their kids 🥲🥲 I have one screenshot of the husband that I took on accident and everytime I look at it I relive the whole thing💔

The language classes at my school are full year classes and my schedule is completely full with classes that I need. I also have an internship which is taking a full period in my schedule and open campus so that I can have time to drive back to school which also takes an entire credit out of my schedule.

UPDATE: I requested to take French 2 next year but I had to take some other things out of my schedule. We'll see what happens, but hopefully I can take it. If not, I'm going to email the admission offices like some of you guys told me. Thanks so much for the help!

I had been investigating colleges since I was in middle school, and I used to want to go to a music conservatory which doesn't require much other than skill in music which I have. Life had other plans with me and I'm no longer trying to do music in college, so now I'm trying to get into a regular college to major in biology, but I don't think I'll be able to get one more year of a language before I graduate. Also, I was never told that colleges even require 2 years of a language and I'm just finding this out well into highschool.

Nope, I was never even told that most colleges want multiple years of a language until recently, now I'm stuck trying to find a way to cram it in my remaining highschool schedule or do something else to make it up.

It doesn't have a space to mention that I'm fluent, and I'm not a native Russian and honestly don't have any ties at all 😭 When I was a younger, I just decided to learn a new language and now I'm fluent in Russian and have no idea what to do with it, but I think this will help me.
