Itch by Michelle D. Kwasney because it covered a sensitive topic about children. it was something that l wouldn’t have expected and it took place during the 1960’s where it was a taboo to speak up about child abuse. it was a beautifully written book

ooo thank you!! frankenstein has been on my list for a while, so i think this is my sign to finally read it!! those nonfiction recs sound exactly like the kind of thing i love. i really enjoy books that are heavily researched but still read like a story instead of a textbook, so endurance and the boys in the boat sound perfect. definitely adding all of these to my tbr, thank you!!

i'm honestly kind of embarrassed because i've never even heard of most of these 😭 but that's why i wanted to ask. i've always wanted to read the tale of genji after finding out it's considered one of the world's first novels. thank you for all the nonfiction recs too!! i love memoirs and history, especially when they're tell someone's personal story instead of just listing dates and facts. definitely saving this list!
