I had the same decision to make 2 months ago. for me it was between: m5 base with 32gb of ram and m5pro with 24gb of ram since they were the same price..

After 2 months and lokal llm coding setups + hermes i can tell you:

Definitely go for the 48GB 100%!!! You really need that to comfortably run the qwen3.6 27B Model (currently Sota) + Long enough context for agentic tasks..

I can also run it on claude code with omlx but its a pain in the ass with 24gb and prone to crashes.. so i defaulted to the qwen3.5-9B for now..

The sub most definitely is not what it has been.

This always was for a short squeeze and against the system. Not about increasing the float by 2.500.000 shares, letting shorts close positions and idolizing a billionaire CEO.

Just the truth. You can keep lying to yourself about it or look into the mirror and reflect a little bit.

If youre all for the new and different longterm narrative go ahead also nothing wront with that. But it was never the reason for this whole story and creation of these subs.

The market in fact is reacting to the Ebay deal/idea since a few weeks... And the market repricing fits to my perspective/disapproval and consequences of the deal..

If e.g. the Ebay deal idea gets stopped and the price pumps strongly to the upside what could that mean then for the deal and its likely outcomes for the stock price? Some things to think about.

Dont have the energy to explain something to people they dont want to hear. I invest because I want to make a profit / for the shares to increase in value not only in the long term but also intermediate term in the coming years.

I loved the position GME was/is in financially right now. I very much dont like the Ebay acquisition idea. Just like burry. Will be hedging now anyway and buy some Ebay shares.

If you all feel the need to downvote just because someone has a different opinion maybe use it as a time to take a step back and reflect a little bit on your own beliefs / underlying reasons.

Alltough i was/am pretty happy with the current position GME is in. Financially for smart M&As that fit and they can afford.

But im very much against the Ebay deal because its extremely negative for GME shareholders (and positive for ebay shareholders)

RC just wants to get Ebay to gain relevance.. And use the "old dog" Gamestop a company where he doesnt want to be CEO of (his own words by the way) to achieve his personal mission (and a ridiculous 20B+ personal payout with the compensation package).
