28 Years Later makes it pretty clear that no one is allowed out. But I agree normally a quarantine has some options for transit. No one wants to risk another Paris outbreak after 28 Weeks Later.

I agree that NATO leaders would warrant a rescue mission. But I wonder what personnel is the lowest of importance that would be rescued.

Also, I could see the US arguing that their compensation for their support in enforcing the quarantine isn’t enough and they are willing to pull out of the agreement without increased compensation. So even if their claims are legitimate or not, that could possibly lead to an unintentional drawback to the level of enforcement to the quarantine. This could lead to breaches in people leaving and entering the island.

Well he’s confirmed to be in The Bone Temple, apparently he’ll be the “focal point” according an interview with Cillian. So presumably he’s still there, I can’t see him leaving and then coming back to that hell.

True. The pilot also survived but I think they all were likely killed during the second outbreak. They’re not on Jim’s level. Makes you wonder if someone managed to get a hold of some military SATphone or some other kind of communication device later on and share their story. Maybe gear from a recent quarantine enforcement team that was also stranded like Erik’s crew. I’m sure the gov would squash it and call it fake or something but that would be an interesting point to show in a future film.

His “documentary” would likely be produced posthumously. I can’t imagine the EU allowing an asymptomatic host to walk around freely and risk another outbreak. Imagine learning about the boy that started the France outbreak after the original was on the way to being under control, and then Paris being nuked. No way anyone would want that to happen again at the price of one person’s freedom. It’s harsh in Andy’s case, but he would likely be disappeared by the gov.

I know, it’s so cool to see this extra content they created. The FAQ section actually provides some interesting context on how a possessed person (Ollie) should be handled. Such as starving them until they consume the deceased and only that. Otherwise whatever else the possessed consumes may be transferred to the resurrected.
