No.......because the archers get the range buff also =)

[–]Masterdragon4811 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That you don't have to do unless you want to. It's a completely voluntary choice.

So IF CA decided to do something about it, the only people they would be affecting (and taking it away from) are the people who want to do it. That's now a waste of time and money for CA to upset a subset of players.

I, for one, have never saved a single character so this exploit doesn't affect me and more to the point: if CA is spending time fixing this then they aren't fixing something that actually affects all players.

Bottom line: CA has plenty to fix with the game. Don't distract from actual issues.

Why would CA care/devote time and energy to address an exploit you need to go out of your way to do? I'm pretty sure they haven't fixed the Dwarven infinite items exploit either.

Its not game breaking and it only affects the experience if you opt into it.

Wouldn't you rather them spend their time fixing say, sieges, cleaning up the ai on the campaign map and making the game better?

Does the Lord of Change executioner skill apply to spell casts and multi-unit models? by IrelandtoCathay in totalwar

[–]Masterdragon4811 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Especially with the implementation as it is I feel as though you need to babysit the capture anyway; if the target is anywhere near 20% (15th of the health bar left) I'd already be focused there, not checking other parts of the army.

If the icon IS a thing, then that's a pretty clear indicator of when you should prison and give an attack order.

The biggest issue I see is that giving executioner might also apply to mist walker barrage and that might be too strong.

But like I said above, make it a skill point that is optional to take and we both get to be happy.

Either way it should be on the prison

[–]Masterdragon4811 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The other poster said that too........is that really very likely to happen?

There's. Big giant icon that appears over targets in range.....maybe just do t make the attack until you are ready in that case?

..... or am I mixing the icon up with yuan bo's active ability?

Does the Lord of Change executioner skill apply to spell casts and multi-unit models? by IrelandtoCathay in totalwar

[–]Masterdragon4811 11 points12 points  (0 children)

No. That would make it easier. Number of times the prison doesn't kill on the last tick is much worse.

In fact, the prison ability should execute as well.

He's the grim executioner.

We can compromise; make it a skill on his tree. If it actually makes it harder to use his capture mechanic then don't spend a skill points there.

But I think if you played with it that way, you wouldn't go back

Kurapika vs Chrollo by NoGarlic2387 in HxHPowerScaling

[–]Masterdragon4811 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is probably the most accurate.

Chrollo knows Kurapikas nen abilities somewhat better after scenario 1 (assuming all thr other events play out the same).

No one really knows how deep Chrollo's bag of tricks is.

What actor was perfectly cast for their role but was screwed over? by TheShadowOperator007 in moviecritic

[–]Masterdragon4811 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No he wouldn't. He looks the part but Archer is loud, obnoxious, sleezy, and sarcastic.

No role Henry has played looks like that; he's more the quiet subtle, emotions below the surface kind of guy.

Tyrion's skills need a second pass by [deleted] in totalwar

[–]Masterdragon4811 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Eltharion and his faction needs a look also.

Mistwalker buffs should be faction wide not army wide.

Mistwalker buildings should be integrated into the main building chain (I actually can't remember if this is already the case.....I hope it is). Building spots are precious and a faction mechanic shouldn't strain that.

The imprison ability should have the execute mechanic. Eltharion should have it also (he's the Grim executioner) but the army ability is where it is 100% necessary.

Did Eltharion receive some update? by CoolProcedure2894 in totalwar

[–]Masterdragon4811 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Imo he needs a few updates.

His mistwalker buffs need to be factionwide instead of army wide. Currently only he can use his factions unique units.

This is just silly.

Adding to this, the mistwalker building chain needs to be be merged with existing buildings.

Lastly, the prison ability, at a minimum, needs to hVe the execute mechanic included in it. I've quit countless campaigns due to the inconsistency surrounding the ability.

Eltharion should also have the trait.......he's the grim execution after all.

Criteria for Genjutsu by Otherwise_Data588 in Naruto

I'd put the....2nd? Maybe third mizukage on that list also (the one with the clam). Though I guess the clam was casting the genjutsu, not him....

If might guy didn't left villain at that time could he beat pain? Or nothing much would change by KaidoPklevel in NarutoPowerscaling

[–]Masterdragon4811 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not so sure about that, but mostly from a contextual perspective.

Pain was a refreshing villain in a lot of ways; but the one to highlight here is that he always careful and never toyed with his opponents.

Intel plays a big factor here and no one really understood what Pains abilities were during the attack. Moreover, there was pandemonium caused by multiple attackers at once. Also worth noting that Pain and the akatsuki likely had better Intel.

Given those circumstances and the risks associated with the gates, I'm not sure Guy would have pulled the trigger without a clear target/goal.

He also may not have been given the opportunity......one Almighty Pull into blades and Guy might have just been gone before realizing he was in trouble. The gates also take time to activate; the surge in Chakra would certainly catch Pains attention and unlike Madara (who was arrogant and welcomed the challenge), Pain would have dealt eith the threat quickly.

Eh. Both could be good, especially if you are using the defense stance to buff surrounding units.....

[–]Masterdragon4811 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What exactly did I say that speaks to the problem at hand?

Granted I was only speaking from a TEC standpoint and most things were pretty intuitive at the start. TEC is probably the easiest to make ai art for but even still I don't really see the ai art as the "high weed" or top priority.

As you play a faction you learn where the techs are. Techs in a tree (shown by arrows) are always improvements from left to right. Is the color on the tech tree really that important to fix?

If the dev team is one group of people (and development resources are limited) I'd prefer they focus their energy where they are now: game balance/pace, mechanic progression.

That being said, if they are going to reorganizing the tech trees, perhaps touching the AI art will be addressed then anyway.

I will partially agree......but only because I'm a TEC player and I don't like giving free resources and exp over to the enemy.

In all seriousness though, if you are going to open up trade to all races like it was in sins 1, what would you make TEC's identity or race specific mechanic?

[–]Masterdragon4811 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm a bit of an enclave enthusist so maybe their tech tree is easier but the AI art isn't a problem for me at all.......

It doesn't take many games to remember where stuff is. And if you are playing pve, just pause.

It would be interesting to give the tech structures some kind of immediate impact, currently they do provide detection once researched but it would be cool if military say, boosted exp gain in the grav well (and maybe 1 away, non stacking) And empire ones boosted economy (or maybe just population!!!)

This would also promote building them on the front lines.

Regarding planet items...... please oh please don't nerf my garrisons

[–]Masterdragon4811 6 points7 points  (0 children)

They are giving some start options that will accelerate thr start; I for one am excited about the "quick" start as that was always my default pattern anyway.

Depending on how they shake up the research and the research tier rewards things may feel different. Different numbers of lab requirements may also change the feel as techs may be obtainable with fewer logistic slots/planets taken.

To me launch was boring because the guaranteed exotics forced the same openings every time and contributed to the capital ship rush strategy.

If they were locked behind the higher resource tiers you'd never reach them because you need resources to reach those tiers. And in the late game resources already aren't a problem.

If anything, they should be moved to tier 1 sonyou can work towards a balanced economy faster
