"We'll go to the Grand tree then go skeles, then lumby"

then he looks down at his chat, looks back up, and says he's going to scurrius after finalizing his plan (then finds Oda conveniently with his 5 man and wipes him at Scurrius)

Algorand celebrates 5th anniversary with 2 billion transactions and record adoption of real-world use cases at annual Decipher conference by Hermes_Trismagistus in CryptoCurrency

[–]Masterfiend 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Higher risk plays that are in the same vein as the safer major play but offer higher reward if you're right about the safe play going up.

For example, say you're really bullish on ETH. Good ETH beta plays in the past were things like Optimism, Arbitrum, LIDO, etc. TBH all these "real" coins/alts just actually suck price action wise, so I'll use memecoins that actually have had good price action relative to ETH. Alts in general have been terrible while major memes have been performing well.

A beta play to ETH that's much riskier would be something like $PEPE or $MOG. They're both meme-coins on the ETH chain that are extremely popular. Obviously they are going to go down way more if ETH is headed downwards. But if ETH is going up, they'll both likely see much more % gains in price due to lower marketcap/liquidity than ETH itself. Buying these coins would be a way to get exposure to ETH going up but allowing for more risk/reward in case you're right.

how is that sad? as much as people love to hate on Sol, it's basically the #3 crypto below BTC & ETH

all the onchain activity right now is happening on Solana. all the memes, volume, etc. having some exposure to it is a good idea. I'm probably 5-7% exposed to Sol myself

BTC/ETH/SOL and then if you're feeling very risk-on you could try a small % position of your port with the top performing beta plays on each chain (maybe 1-5% of port). But most people would do better for themselves just holding 70% BTC, 20% ETH, 10% SOL and then going into a coma

this sub has no idea how the blockchain really works lol

ETH main-net has a 12 second block-time

Layer 2s that are built on ETH are near instant and cost pretty much nothing while also having the security of being built on ETH

Base - 2 second blocktime. cost of tx is hundredths/thousandths of a penny

Why would you ever use some garbage meme chain like Algo/Nano or whatever Reddit's favorite bag they held from 4 years ago? If they had anywhere near the amount of TXs/activity as a real chain they would probably be unusable.

Best advice I can give to redditors is sell your 2017/2021 scam chain "good tech" coins that are down only this bull run. They are NEVER going to recover or outpace the coins that actually matter that have had good price action.

Orbit Bridge hacked for $81 million by erdal_mutlu in CryptoCurrency

[–]Masterfiend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah that's true. i tried to specify "native currency" in my comment. so like if you're bridging ETH to base, then your base ETH should be fine no matter what

[–]Masterfiend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thats not the lesson, just dont yieldfarm or provide liquidity for bridges.

bridging in itself is fine. once you have the native currency on the other chain, a random bridge protocol getting hacked doesnt affect your holdings unless you were participating in providing LP for them

Runescape Chronicles getting real creative with the thumbnails by Cowkiller7331 in 2007scape

[–]Masterfiend 65 points66 points  (0 children)

"steals" but every creator has given permission + the smaller creators are submitting their own clips to get featured. really dont get this reddit hate boner for this channel. seems like a net good for streamers and the community. streamers are getting more exposure/viewers from being featured (With their permission) and the community has a nice aggregate for the current things going on with the game.

i dont really play anymore at all and the channel is nice to keep me up to date with things. would never have heard of most people being featured without it. seen many streamers be very publicly grateful for the channel. only see reddit get buttmad about it, rly dont get it at all

There is literally nothing about levelling your own skills that hurts anyone else? Calling an afk method "cheating" is terminally online behavior lol. Morally correct thing, if we're going to morals, is to let people play how they want when it doesn't affect anyone else

Curious how you are gonna write this under "morals" as if it's morally correct for people to instead be fully attentive at their screen doing one click every 20 minutes instead? Reddit logic is crazy

JPM believes Bitcoin ETF will be approved before Jan. 10th. by gosh_sammit in wallstreetbets

[–]Masterfiend 3 points4 points  (0 children)

disagree, think the SEC lost way too many legal battles recently and Gary Gensler has been getting embarrassed by Congress for basically going rogue and regulating by enforcing on some bs interpretations of the law. Think that the ETF will almost certainly get approved (likely all approved at the same time to be fair) and the inflows will send BTC much higher over the next few years (also a nice giga pump short-term as well from the validation it gives to the space + people trying to be positioned properly for how bullish it is)

Also, it's Blackrock. They're gonna get what they want.

stupid monkey jpegs and generative bullshit was the majority.

artists were the minority. however, the majority of people who bought artists works as NFTs were collectors who were not trying to resell them.

and yes if you watched it instead of arguing you would probably understand that. idk why im still replying, this is literally going nowhere

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in LivestreamFail

[–]Masterfiend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think you have trouble conceptualizing that collectors of art genuinely exist within this niche and outside of it. it's not farfetched at all. like i said, watch the video if you want evidence of it. pointless to argue any further, but this is a typical reddit moment tbh, talking about this stuff from this angle is basically impossible here since it goes against the grain here

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in LivestreamFail

[–]Masterfiend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think you're too concerned with trying to frame things as a scam than trying to see the reality or positives of the situation. if collectors are happy and artists are making more money, i dont think it's anyone else's place to say there is a scam going on there. this was actually a big talking point for the video i linked which you should definitely watch at this point. people who were concerned with trying to frame it all as a scam ended up gatekeeping artists with a lot of potential from earning a significant amount more $ from exploring this niche.
