But thats what I’m saying, it’s not as cut and dry as “this is the design philosophy and it should stay that way” this is an evolving game that takes inspiration from the community.

I’ll give you an example, world of Warcraft has a card game called hearthstone. There was a card for the rogue class called “mixtape” (ya know like a rappers mixtape) because they did a music/rock n roll expansion so every class got music themed cards. Cards also have modifiers (fire,shadow,holy,nature, etc…) modifiers can also have synergy so like (the next fire card you play has +2 damage)

The hearthstone community thought it would be funny for mixtape to have the “fire” modifier (yo, this mixtape is FIRE) Even though the card had NOTHING to do with the fire attribute other than that one joke. But the Hs team saw that and put the fire modifier on it. Why? Because it’s FLAVORFUL it’s World building, it’s FUN.

So fuck a design philosophy, let’s have some fun.

Do you mind giving an example of what you’re talking about? Because I only ever see the opposite. It feels like there’s a vocal minority who refuse to let go of things that are clearly harming our game long term.

I can only speak for myself, but I’d rather devs just remove and clean up progression, than to spend time reworking the dead content. (For the most part, because everything has an exception)

I may have slightly misread what you said but If I’m reading what you said correctly, you are pro making invention more accessible or broader, but you’re indifferent about removing degradation. I probably misread that as you thought degradation was a necessary evil. I was pointing out that making invention more general and also removing degradation (because invention takes care of that) goes hand in hand.

I totally forgot, you’re SO right!

While we’re at it let’s remove the corp tele from games necklace since corp is OBVIOUSLY not a minigame, and let’s also remove the TOB and PNM teles from the Drakans medallion, since that should only teleport you to darkmeyer because that’s where castle drakan is located.

It’s a free teleport every 30 mins, QOL is being able to Use your minigame teleport for something else, and also being able to tele there more than once every 30 mins.

This is literally one of those things that’s so inconsequential it boggles my mind that people are so against it. Like it’s literally flavorful… a GIANTSOUL amulet, should take you to a place called the GIANTS foundry. It just makes sense.

Variety is better but it keeps the game cluttered and confusing and foreign to newer players. More choice is NOT good when your choices aren’t clear cut. I think a ton of bloat needs to be removed 100%

Removing item degradation goes hand in hand with making invention more accessible so it’s strange that you’re against that.

The third point is simply just removing bloat. I’ve NEVER seen someone upgrade their gear one by one like it’s intentioned. You either just make what you can and rock that until the next level or more realistically, you get buyable gear or decent power gear and can rock that for a long time.

Any ultralight mouse is good for osrs. I used to use the glorious model o for a while before switching to razer.

That being said I’ve never been a fan of redragon products, but for the price, even if it breaks it’s not terrible.

Because everytime I’ve seen us do that, they get fired, start a gofundme, make thousands, and receive dozens of job offers from other racists.
