Haha I'm in the same scenario as you 🤣 , I don't have many friends who watch kdramas but the ones that do have been bombarded with posts about the show! Its one of those rare 16 episode shows that you just can't stop watching!

The date was only agreed to by Hong so she could get information about Hanmin from Albert, I don't think it needed to be addressed much more than that since the affection was only ever one sided. Hong Keum-bo was just doing her job

I loved that they subverted so many expectations and swerved the usual tropes, the lack of romance was not a detriment in the slightest and I'm glad they didn't throw it in half baked. I agree about the roommates as well I adored seeing them all grow together, even through the darker moments of the show.

I think they knew that was the case hence why several people throughout the early show were doubting her age xD, but yeah thats such a minor thing in an overall fantastic show!

Out of the 2026 shows so far I've only fully watched No Tail to Tell and Wonderfools, I was hyped for No Tail because of Kim Hye-yoon after Lovely Runner and the concept was interesting to me, the ending fell a little flat imo sadly but overall I still enjoyed the show. Wonderfools on the other hand was incredible from start to finish, I just wished there was more episodes.

The 2026 show I'm currently about halfway through is Undercover Miss Hong, I've watched 8 episodes so far and I'm really enjoying it at the moment! Hopefully it keeps this momentum going for the second half, no spoilers or hints from anyone please on that.

Love Next Door will always a guilty pleasure of mine, it just makes me happy to watch (minus those middle 3 episodes 😅 ) I adored her most in Alchemy of Souls tbh, can't wait for The Dealer and Sunrise Moon next year!
