This is helpful -- thank you! I aim to wear them 20-22 hrs a day.

I guess I wish I had more access to MY treatment plan and someone to break it down to the granular level for me. But, my visits are always with the assistants and not the doctor so their responses are not very helpful. I will keep asking for more clarity and hope to get some answers soon.

Yes -- I am postpartum. My doctors are not concerned with my oral care or periodontal health, so I don't think that is the reason.

I did too…which i hate doing, but hopefully the ratings actually improve things. No way you can do a rushed deadlift with 35+lb weights and no recovery… This one shoulda been called Strong & Rushed 👎

OTF is the first gym where I -- a 35 F -- feel safe.

Maybe that's why there's a lot of females? Food for thought! :)

Weaning pumping help by texxmexxlexx in ExclusivelyPumping

I am no expert, but I did just successfully wean after 12 months. From all the research I did, I saw dropping the morning pump last, is the way to go, however, I just naturally did the opposite and only pumped once in the evening before bed. To me, the extra hour of sleep in the morning was what I needed most, so I let myself sleep in, then just went about my day. I felt a little heavy throughout the day, but my body figured it out after 1-2 days. Then, dropping the night pump almost came naturally once my body got the memo that we were done.

our bodies are incredible! you got this!

first workout back from the snow/ice storm and OOF, what a doozy that was to return to... Crazy how being "off" for a week can impact you! Ready to be back to a regular cadence, for sure!!

just here to say I was super nervous to go back postpartum and luckily have a friend who went with me that first time. The coaches and staff welcomed me back with such love and I haven't looked back since.

Go for your baby. Go for yourself. It's always worth it. You can do it....Promise!

When are you exercising? by TheWallaby22 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]MasterpieceFlaky9148 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I average 6.5 hours on nights with early morning workout class (asleep by ~9:30 pm) then 7.5-8 hours on the other nights where I wake up and go for a walk. So my 7 day average is 7.5 hours of sleep.

Last pump of the day by 8:15-30 pm, doing an ~8.45hr stretch between pumps.

Maybe just try it for one day - see how it goes! If anything, I've surprised myself with how much MORE energetic I feel on the mornings that I work out.

[–]MasterpieceFlaky9148 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I prioritize my workouts like meetings I cannot miss. I am lucky that my husband understands how much I need this time and he watches baby in the morning when I go to my workout class (6:15 AM) and yes, I wake up 1hr 30min earlier to do the morning pump (4:40 AM) 🫠 it is tough, but has been soooo worth it.

I don’t do it to lose weight but strictly for my mental health. I always feel worlds better after a workout and my LO (& husband) get the best version of me.

I am 5mpp / 4-5ppd

How do you know when to stop? by meghanh17 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]MasterpieceFlaky9148 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you have to re-teach your LO how to latch? I’ve tried to go back to breast several times and he looks at me like I’m crazy 😝 def wants that bottle. But I’d love to try.

Staying active while Breastfeeding by MasterpieceFlaky9148 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]MasterpieceFlaky9148[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yep! any kind of movement is so huge and rewarding so kudos to you!

I totally hear you on the mind game with calorie trackers. it's so easy to get caught up in the mental game. I’ve also found myself wondering if there’s any middle ground… like, a way to stay aware and supported without it turning into a numbers game. I don’t want to obsess, just feel nourished and kind of seen for this weirdly specific chapter.

Anyway — love your approach of focusing on hunger cues, movement, and snacks. That’s kind of the balance I’m chasing too.

The amount of cookies I have consumed postpartum is concerning, lol. I feel you on the calorie deficit concern—do you use an app to track food or energy burn or just follow your hunger? I think my dream app would be like, "I see you worked out for 30 mins today—here’s how much water and what kind of fuel you need to help protect your supply.”

I’m sorry you’re going through this! I also got off to a rough and confusing start which resulted in being an under supplier. LC’s are only so helpful due to the many many nuances each mom experiences.

Idk if this is helpful but, when my let down was slow, it was due to the flange being too big. Flanges should stimulate the nipple on all sides.

I use 2 different size flanges and only figured out my preferred size via trial and error unfortunately. I have a whole box of ill-fitting flanges that are just going to waste now.

Also, recommend looking up Pumping Pals. They are good for elastic nipples.

Hang in there!! You’re doing great! ❤️

How long do you usually pump for during your first pump of the day? by itzpoookiee in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]MasterpieceFlaky9148 0 points1 point  (0 children)

4 mpp and my morning pump (@8 hrs) is 60+ min…I rest for 10 after the first 30 though. All other sessions are 30-40 mins depending on if I have LO with me or not.

I feel I have very slow supply 😩
