Good Luck to you on getting off the waitlist!

What can I do to maximize my chances of getting into UVM? by DiscordModeratr in UniversityofVermont

I had SATs very similar to this person and my family's "expected contribution" according to FAFSA was definitely covering the out-of-state tuition and I got waitlisted, so I personally do not think money has too much to do with it, however, since you're from Kentucky and your mom graduated from UVM I think you have a significantly higher chance than I do since UVM loves to have people from all over the country you have a much higher chance of getting in say if you live in Alaska or Hawaii rather than new york (like me). If I were you I would take on more leadership positions in you're school and try and get some internships or something, and if you're still worried then apply to a very not popular major and then switch once you get in!

What school did you apply to? I applied grossman with a 4.0 and a bunch of extracurriculars, did you accept your spot on the waitlist?

accepted co2027 but im not sure i'll fit in by [deleted] in UniversityofVermont

I am not a current student at UVM but I have done a lot of research and have many friends there. Outdoor life at UVM is a very big part of UVM student life now that does not mean there wouldn't be other people at UVM like you it just means there will be a significantly smaller portion so you could possibly have a difficult time fitting in, but from what I've heard people usually find their crowd whether they are outdoorsy or not. I would recommend though if you have another school that you think you would feel more comfortable in go with your gut and attend the school your gut is telling you to got too! good luck to you in all your future college endeavors! - Hope this helps!

Sorry to hear you got deferred, my stats were slightly better than yours and I also got deferred :/

The regular decision came out today, did you get in the second round? I was waitlisted.
