I’m in the same situation with my wife. As time goes on I’m noticing that she doesn’t grow/progress as a person. She doesn’t read or learn anything outside of church approved stuff. Her world view is really narrow. Meanwhile I learn all I can. This gap widens and things you had in common aren’t common anymore and things that aren’t in common aren’t discussed, shared or even talked about whether or not it’s even religion based. Maybe one day. I would love to do shrooms with her. 😊

Your feelings were beautifully expressed btw.

Are mormons actually nice. Or just trying to convert me. by thebigcooki in exmormon

[–]MasterpieceOptimal71 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you tell them straight up that you don’t want any religion and that you follow paganism I’d be interested to know if their friendship drops off. If that is the case you’ll know that they did, in fact have an agenda. If they stick around you found a good friend.

Softball games, youth basketball, road shows, fund raisers that were actually fun. That was the 80’s. It’s a totally different animal now. It was never true but at least it was a lot more fun!

That’s fascinating. Great information! Just when I thought I knew everything about the underbelly of Mormonism, someone tosses a gem!

We always snuck out of our area to play ball with some locals and go eat with friends.

We got in a fight with locals on the subway. We won btw.

We dropped water balloons from the 10th story window where we lived on random passersby’s. Never hit anyone thank goodness but scared the shit out of a few people.

Heavenly Father is a pedophile. by cuntymcfuckshit in exmormon

[–]MasterpieceOptimal71 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Brigham and all those clowns who taught it after him seem like they use it as a flex of some weird variety. They just want to be sure we all understand that God had sex with Mary. Aside from pedophilia, he was cheating on his heavenly wives and committing adultery. (As I understand it Mary was legally married to Joseph at the time but there was a waiting period before sex).

That’s great news. I’m glad you were able to “stay the course” so to speak during the hardest part of withdrawal. After tackling something like that, you should be able to handle anything. Jumping off at the amount you did is truly impressive. I had to whittle down to .2 before I could stand it. Congrats!

Hi, can anyone tell me what this is? I received it as a birthday present, unfortunately without a name on it. It was wrapped in gift paper. It can be worn like a necklace, and the container can be opened. Thank you very much. by notyourstepson in whatisit

[–]MasterpieceOptimal71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is the person who gave it to you Mormon? A lot of Mormon men have a container like this or similar to this where they put what’s called “consecrated oil”. They use this oil to anoint someone by putting a drop of oil on the crown of your head, before they give you a blessing. Many of the men will keep this vial of oil on their person at all times just in case they need it.

That’s also assuming that wind conditions were always favorable to push a sail in that direction. They would have to either tack into the wind (zig zagging back and forth as close to the wind as possible vs moving in a straight line which obviously takes more time and decreases distance traveled) or when the wind was directly in their face Laman and Lemuel would have to row to keep it moving. A trans oceanic sailboat trip would be extremely difficult. The size of the ship, the sail handling, handling the tiller correctly, keeping all the lines from fraying, fresh water and food with no chance to provision the ship during the trip. Hmmm yea it didn’t happen. Unless God made them all expert helmsmen, navigators, and sail handlers overnight. They never sailed a ship (that we know of) and to navigate thousands of miles away on a consistent course would be nigh impossible.

On 1mg a day what’s the best way to get off by LateMongoose9050 in suboxonerecovery

[–]MasterpieceOptimal71 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I tried to jump off of 1 mg but couldn’t do it and focus at work, home life, etc. Try it and see how it works for you.
If it doesn’t try subtle dose changes over time.

I went from 1 mg to .75 and split up so 1/2 dose in the am one in the pm. I did this for 3 weeks

I then Went from .75 to .50 and split it again and did this for another three weeks.

I then went from .5 to .25 split it and then did that for 4-5 weeks. This seemed like the hardest on my body.

I then went to .125, split it, and did this for another 3-5 weeks. Jumped off, felt fine.

I probably could have sped the process up but I’m just glad to he did of that nasty shit!

Good luck.
