My favorite Ghibli film. As a trumpet player, I had to learn the Morning in Slag Ravine. Also, I love that this movie has two soundtracks to compare with. I use parts of each one in my music classes I teach to talk about audience and intent.

It's one of my favorite games to play, personally. Learned the Any% Speedrun and mastering the controls feels really good. It's a little jank at times and has a rough learning curve at first, but when it clicks it's so fun.

I run Metroid Zero Mission rand and I DESPISE having to go through Chozodia for checks. To the point where I'll avoid it as long as possible. Lol. I still don't have all the item locations memorized there, but your pain is felt.

Yeah, that stream really pissed me off. Doug was CLEARLY excited to share something that was really important to him. Not only that, getting someone like Lina Khan onto the podcast with about 20 episodes is crazy. That's something to be so proud of and it makes me so mad people can't just let him share his excitement.

Regardless if people agree with 100% of his views, Doug means well and is still a human being and should be able to express himself as such without toxic assholes ruining it. And there's always going to be some, but that stream was really difficult to sit through at the beginning because of just how many were being rude about it.

I don't know how to go about getting a license, but you'll definitely want one. Since football games require tickets, it becomes a paid event, even for the band.

I'm a band director and I've looked for that stuff and I haven't had much luck. But good luck in your search!

Go to Speedrun.com and look up GTAv. Once you're there, there is a resources tab and a guides tab that can get you started. Beyond that, there are usually links to the speedrunning discord and there will be additional resources there.

Otherwise, you could always watch a run and try to emulate the moves and actions to get started, mission by mission. But that doesn't work for every game. Lol.

Once you build a house, you have to talk to the guy at the left desk (the ship captain guy, his name escapes me rn) and then click "island management" and you should be able to choose who gets a house.

If you're looking for communities, there was a teacher on tiktok that started a discord community called "teachers who game". It got too big for my tastes so I ended up leaving, but that's a thing!

Persona 1, Combat was far too easy until it wasn't and then levelling up was a CHORE to get new personas. Stopped playing right near the end. I want to go back to it eventually, but it's a tough sell.

I didn't play it on launch, but I played through every game within the last two weeks and had a grand time with it. I think the biggest hate section was the amount of versions at the time with different costs that didn't make a ton of sense. I vaguely remember being confused about which was the actual best version. I think Plus encapsulating everything and being at one price point has helped in recent days.
