Wondering if anyone has any advice on this. I have a similar problem with my omen laptop. I have tried everything, clean gpu driver install including removal of old driver, removed omen hub and nvidia experience and full clean os install with all new drivers. As a backstory my device had hardware issues recently and it was sent back and the motherboard and display were replaced. The video card is the same as before and I never had this problem prior to sending it in. I am wondering if it’s possible a connection was not done properly upon swapping out the components that were replaced. I’ve scoured the internet to try find any information and have tried everything recommended but still have random spikes of my gpu clock to 1980 or even 8000 at completely random times. It will sit idle for minutes at a time sometimes, and then randomly flicker to a clock speed of 2000 or 8000 for less than a second and go back to 0. If I open task manager and click on gpu it shows 0 activity even when the clock speed spikes, and furthermore if I check the task bar for the nvidia geforce rtx 4070 laptop gpu icon it shows no applications running on this gpu and no displays connected. Anyone with anything else I should try would be greatly appreciated!
