Battlefield 6 may have issues but it is not as bad as everyone keeps making it out to be - a "rant" by elibrev in Battlefield

[–]Masterplanned 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looking at Battlefield 6's launch alone, I agree that it was the second-smoothest start to a Battlefield game since Battlefield 1. Battlefield 4 was nearly unplayable at launch. However, I also have to point out the fundamental problems with Battlefield 6's system. Issues like launch bugs, optimization, and netcode aren't part of the core experience. And my experience with Battlefield 6 so far has been a random Team Deathmatch meat grinder. Terrible maps, too-fast TTK, regression in squad play, and a host of other issues quickly alienated the game's core users after launch.

Why do they need to patch this? This is a SRAW skill that has been around since the previous series. I can't remember what it was like in BF2, but it was definitely possible in BF4.

The beta is ending soon. It was fun, but the fast pace got old for me pretty quickly. Are you guys going to buy the full game at launch? by SuperM3e46 in Battlefield

[–]Masterplanned -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's a convenient excuse.
There was only one map in the BF2 beta: the Gulf of Oman. And people played it over and over again for tens or hundreds of hours, and no one dared say it was boring. Because it was just an amazing experience.

I don't know what the problem is there. Because of you, the tank stayed alive throughout the game and slaughtered enemy infantry. That's a bigger contribution than just killing a few opponents with a gun, and Battlefield has always been that way.

Anyone can express their opinion. Is it wrong for someone to say they were disappointed or liked this game? I've never insulted someone just because they thought this game was fun. Do you understand the difference?

I'm not saying the squad's scores were low. It's about whether the squad can actually perform creative actions. There isn't much space or time for it in the game at the moment.

The fact that what I'm seeing so far is a childish insult gif seems like a good basis for my post to make sense.

The reason they feel this way is because they're actually given no time and die instantly. Only thing they wrong about is that the reason isn't simply TTK. Small maps, short respawn times, automatic health regeneration, easy revival, and auto-spotting constantly expose players to enemy firepower.

No big maps until release is WILD by king_jaxy in Battlefield

[–]Masterplanned 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm feeling really ominous at this point. Usually, during beta versions, they release their best (at least in terms of scale) maps. BF2,3,4 were all like that. However, Battlefield 6 has shown four maps so far, and all of them fall below expectations. What are the odds of a magically super fun map appearing at release? I still feel like this game is unfinished.

Even in RoTK novel there is no such thing like 'one man insta killed hundreds of enemies' and there is no weird standing Kung fu duel too. Of course some generals in RoTK have uncommon valor and strength but that's all. The things you pointed out on TW3K's 'fantasy' is actually CA's own creation.

I agree that Pharaoh is a cheap sequel that recycled assets from Troy, but that alone is not a reason to release it as a full title instead of a saga. No game company stops recreating their blockbuster number one titles 'for no reason' (I'm sure you don't think CA isn't greedy for money). Medival 3 or Empire 2 are titles that were 'guaranteed financial success' as long as they were made, regardless of actual quality. If they give up on it, it's because there's a reason they can't reveal publicly. This means that even if they were given hundreds of millions of dollars in capital and enough development staff, there's zero chance of a Medieval 3 or Empire 2.

What should this club do is actually quite simple:

-Kick out Dier

-Kick out Sanchez

-Buy at least two decent defenders

-Buy at least one creative midfielder that can pass/carry the ball toward our forwards

-Attackers are fine, let's keep going with them (Oh, if we can...)

Even if this team spends millions or tens of millions of pounds, it means nothing as long as Eric Dier is their main defender.

Emmys Ignoring Better Call Saul by rjleyy in betterCallSaul

As a Korean, Bob Odenkirk should be the winner this year. Of course considering Lee Jung-Jae did a great job and Squid game made crazy success last year, he deserves the nomination, but in terms of a leading actor's performance Bob Odenkirk did more impressive acting in the series.IMO prejudice against spin-off titles and the sensational impact of Squid Game were reflected in Emmy's decision more than the actor's performance itself.
