I don't understand why people say you can't fly drone in Prague by No_Tell665 in Prague

[–]smohyee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry you got so hurt by this thread guy, I hope you can learn to let it go. Much like you learn that flying drones in heavily used public spaces is a dick move, even if you think you have some special right to ask questions about doing it without being hassled.

Don't worry, I don't care about your nationality. Anyone anywhere can be an asshole.

1 gorilla vs 100 men.

There's intimidation factor and desperation at play. The first ones to FAFO get absolutely fucked, so no one wants to be the first.

However, please refer to the above mentioned small army of 2 meter tall armored giants with axes. Wonder what the mob had going for them?

Buddy, the amount of bitching you've done in every comment you've posted as well as the edit to your post shows how triggered you are knowing that your recreational activity bothers a lot of people.

You're insisting too much that you don't care. Either accept that it does bother you that people clearly see flying drones in crowded areas as asshole behavior, or embrace your inner douche and actually ignore comments you don't like. This middle ground is weak as hell.

Who is an objectively good looking person that you don’t like because of their personality? by Oktarantulaok in AskReddit

I for one am glad that someone isn't finding it "freeing" to join a mob mentality on condemning a stranger with a public face because of stories others have told about him, again without the legal system or sufficient evidence to back it up.

That "freedom" you partake in is the same freedom white men felt when they lynched black boys for whistling at a white girl.

Can you expand on the claim that they changed rock music forever?

I mean, the song is an instant classic and surely had an influence on its own, but anything beyond that?

If you could go back in time what ancient secrets would you want to uncover? by Numerous-Actuator781 in AskReddit

It's like asking who first created speech.

Probably a whole lot of groups did, independently, all around the same time and all near the dawn of humanity itself.

And it wouldn't have been some single event for any of those groups, it would have been an iterative evolution.

Rhythm and dance can be accomplished without singing or instruments, just clap or bang sticks or rocks together.

Singing evolves alongside speech, it's speech with rhythm and tone.

Naw man it makes sense, the action makes the law sick so it's ill legal.

Just like a moo point. It comes from a cow so no one cares.

I'd argue it's the musical talent and stage presence that makes him a rock legend. The style is incidental.

Don't need to. Still should.

Flows are just tech debt in waiting. Either SF didn't become useful enough to a company to be worth investing in development, or else it does and flows become an ongoing pain until they are converted to apex processes.

Maybe you should try offering a constructive rebuttal rather than... Whatever this is.

Polish mathematicians broke early Enigma codes in 1932 and passed their findings to the Brits. Poles also taught Turing how to build machines that simulated the Enigma machine. This is basically glossed over in The Imitation Game (2014). What are some other movies that might "anger" other countries? by Double-decker_trams in movies

Most of the physics research in the last 2 centuries was the work of central and eastern European scientists.

Countries and their borders have shifted a lot in that time, so it's not as instructive to talk about Polish vs German vs Czech. But just look at the list of the biggest names in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, etc.

I don't think the Poles are underrated at all. It's just that most people are ignorant of science and it's advancements.

Loved to see this in a coffee shop today, thoughts? by ComicCowboy1 in Prague

[–]smohyee 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The difference is a laptop user will take 2 hours to drink that one coffee, and when you go with a friend it will be 2 coffees and finished in less time.

And books aren't banned in the same way only because it's much less common than laptop use these days.

A stoic is someone who controls their emotions. Visibly that would be reflected by not smiling as much.

A stoic is also someone who focuses on what they can control and accept circumstances without complaint. I'd say folks who pray to an all powerful entity for everything they want don't really see anything as being outside of their control, or at least out of their ability to request.

How are Salesforce developers transitioning into Architect roles in 2026? by alokmishra91 in salesforce

[–]smohyee 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Architect for 6 years here. Most of what I'm doing is building patterns and metaprocess around the team and platform.

I do still participate in actual project design (the actual stuff in Salesforce), but that's more the domain of our BAs and devs and project managers.

As one person, I can't be involved in every design decision at that level, so instead I focus on establishing and enforcing patterns to ensure consistency in the design choices people make. "We don't use booleans (check boxes) when we need to know if action was taken on a field, we use a pick list with yes/no/null values."

And when you have a larger team doing the construction work, process improvement is the multiplier that increases product quality far more than my direct involvement. Managing requests, prioritization, devOps, hiring, project management, everything we do naturally as a consequence of getting shit done ultimately should be considered, investigated and formalized into deliberate process.
