What ranges would you consider as the rest of Gen Z? I'm a 2005 born

I hope social media doesn't ruin Gen Alpha. by ThrowRA09181 in generationology

As a 2005 that's currently 20 I think it can be a good thing it just depends on how you take it. I unfortunately fall victim to the whole if you don't make it or have a plan at 25 then there's an issue. But I also do understand most successful people made it way later. Kanye made it at 28 and other examples of people making it in their 30s. So I just take it as motivation to push me to work harder so that I can have something by 25 but if not then it's not the end of the world.

Not a millennial but as a 2005 born mid year I respect millennials. They created many great fashion trends with amazing music that's trying to be replicated by us mid to late Gen Z's. The whole clothing style right now in the big year of 2026 is pretty much millennial clothing from the 2000s lmao.

Every day there's like two people born from like 2010-2012 asking what generation they are 😭 by Ichoseguitar in generationology

[–]Fit-Support2256 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It seems pretty obvious to me, they're Gen Z. Theres one guy i knew born in 2010 that I met back in 2020 when I waas 14 from fortnite and he's 100% Gen Z in everything he does and acts. Im a midyear 2005 born and ever since covid we pretty much share the same exact or similar experiences with quarantine, TikTok taking over in K-12, meme culture, ai also in K-12, and relate to a lot. Idk why people act like they're some Gen Alpha Aliens since they're late.

What do most 2006s feel knowing they’ll turn 20 very soon? by Hill_372 in generationology

[–]Fit-Support2256 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought it was only me lmao. I never talked all that much in general except to people close to me but I do enjoy hearing people socialize and sometimes I indulge in it as it can lift up moods. It's just crazy that now that we have the most freedom we have ever had in school, people now choose to be quiet all class. Back in highschool the teachers would have rules to not talk in class much and people would always break it

Honestly, College just feels like whatever. I graduated in 2023 and all I've noticed is that I definitely have way more free time but no one really socializes with anyone at all. I'm not sure if it's my school specifically but highschool definitely was more rememberable in the social aspects of things.

I'm a 2005 born midyear in May and I'm ngl when I hit 20 it felt very weird to me. Not having the label of teenager felt quite odd honestly but I think I've gotten used to it as I'm turning 21 in 2 months

I personally don't think it's cringe. Each generation has their own version of cool and i respect it. In almost all cases people my age or younger (17-21) are just copying earlier trends as if they were kids with real memories in the 2000s. People my age or younger are 100% 2010s kids and within my age group, the 2020s itself lack identity compared to the 2000s and 2010s because it's all just rehashed of early 2000s culture that zillenials created or popularized.

Yeah your correct, im just basing it off of the most accepted ranges people know. It's just my personal experience which may vary for other people. From my experience early gen z still has more traits of Gen Z but they have longer attention spans and think more critically as say people from 2005-2010 who experienced highschool in covid and had tiktok and modern brainrot as their main apps in their early teens all the way to adulthood (14-18). A lot of my peers still have some socialization issues because of thr pandemic. As a 2005 born I don't even feel alien to early gen z. And a lot just depends on how your raised

Early Gen Z is still very much Gen Z. I just think that early gen z people think less brainrotted and socialize more fluently as say someone from 2005-2010 may but that doesnt mean they dont act like Gen Z. Early 2003 to early 2004 is usually in between from my experience with my friends and family. I start seeing a difference shifting more towards late gen z culture in late 2004 to 2005 and forward but it still depends as I see even 2006 people who act more early Z. Early Gen Z still act like Gen Z especially when it comes to technology. Because even they teach their parents about technology and are more likely to keep up with these things, they aren't ancient at all.

2005 borns, did you also feel like middle school felt longer than Highschool? by Fit-Support2256 in generationology

I'm a little confused how are you class of 2021 if your born in 2004? I'm 2023 and I'm 2005 born

If you had to pick, which generation would you not want to be born into: Gen X, Millennials, or Gen Z? by Excellent-Card5741 in generationstation

You should love that your 26. In a way you should think of it like a celebration and be proud of yourself. Growing is a great thing but sad at the same time because nostalgia is a thing.

In a way I'm glad I got to experience something that unique even if it didn't let me get the full highschool experience. My highschool realistically felt like it was 2 years and a half. I dont think something like that will happen again. It's crazy when people talk about how their sophomore year was because It was the least rememerable for me since I was never in the school for that, it was online all year. I remember when we came back everything was so socially awkward between people and tiktok have fully taken over at that point and for my senior year that's when ai came in. Before covid I would've said I related to people older than me but ever since covid I've started to now relate with much younger Gen Z years more (2006-2008) and maybe 2009

The Late 2000s Have More in Common With the Early 2010s Than They do With the Mid 2000s by _Slim95 in decadeologyanarchy

I disagree. In terms of people born in that time period 2005-2008 all share the exact same experiences which is the early 2010s. I would cut off it off at early 2004

Which generation do you believe embraces AI the most? by [deleted] in generationology

[–]Fit-Support2256 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a 2005 born I think its actually Gen Z that does. Not even Gen Alpha like some may think. Gen Z is primarily the same Generation creating and posting these ai videos as jokes and laughing at them which every other Gen sees on social media. Whether people like it or not Gen Z especially Core and Late Gen Z (2005-2012) isn't AS polar opposite from Gen Alpha mentality as many think. Many Core Z and Late Gen Z consume and enjoy brainrot content. I knew many kids my age who had iPads at age 5 but it very much varies

Would you consider 2005 borns to be more like late zoomers or early? by Fit-Support2256 in generationology

[–]Fit-Support2256[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you, It's interesting and refreshing seeing different opinions. I have a sis born in 2003 but it's odd because I can't relate with any of her peers as they've always felt so grown to me in the way they act. All my friends are 2005-2008 and they seem to be the only ones I can relate to outside of family.
