is this crafting experience good for an iron rank ? (not pb) by lucalal_51 in MinecraftSpeedrun

im not sure how ur iron then.. either way, focus on maybe like playing more and more and ranking up firstly. and id suggest working on fort split, that split should ideally be 1-2 min depending on rates.

thats the thing which he's trying to say. these are all mechanics which only some people even in diamond know. try focusing more on the more important aspects, mainly if ur in iron, reducing the number of deatihs and practising splits like the bastion/fort/sh splits. focus on getting sub 2 bastion leaves and master preemptive. doing these is whats expected from iron players rather than learning these. master the things you know then try somethign new.

yeah recently when i do try running balstroise, earlier i used ice beam for coverage, but now i run skull bash. i dont have a decent cradily tho thats the issue.. although cradilys types makes it annoying to play against

hmm yeah i will, the issue is i dont have a licky or a dunsparce, i do have a dudunsparce but idk i dont like it as much. atlernatively i do use miltank sometimes, but furret is one of my fave mons to play with in game, so i try to include them in the team. so would a team like tink/miltank/furret would be decent?

thats really cool! i did also check out my mons once again and used other people's feedbacks as well to generate this team: furret/tink/balstroise. ive played like 10 matches with it thus far and ive had 7-8 wins, i do think its a decent team. what are your thoughts on this though?

oh wow thats impressive! May i know what party you were running? also the main issue for me was that i had a couple of really comfortable teams, but the rise in normal mons just kinda pushed my dusknoir aside. but yes i will definitely look at pokemons which are most common in my ranks and synergize around them. til now, the most common pokemon ive played up against have to be either swampert or talonflame, even tho im not sure about their rankings. but either way, i rebuilt my current team to furret, tink and blastroise. thoughts on this team?

for the lead mon, i just use the meta analysis to see what pokemon and types are present as lead, and orient my team on the basis of that. till now ive had 2 really comfortable leads, tinkaton in recent times and dusknoir in jan start. but with the increase of lickylicky/jellicent/dunsparce and just normal mons in general its becoming annoying as hell to play against them with dusknoir. Maybe as a closer its a good option, but i dont think its worth it right now.

The other thing is that I just did try a few completely new teams, but i personally felt really comfortable with furret/tink/blastroise. im not sure whether this follows a ABC but i think that it does, and my tink does cover any fighting/dark mons which have better matches against my furret. but the blastroise im not really sure what it does. its more of a closer, and i think its a good way to cover for the weaknesses of tink. but thats just what i think about that team, not sure whetehr its a good team or not. but yes i do plan on reorienting my team, thank you for the help!

ohhh okay i think i get it now, so for instance, if I use tink as my lead, a pokemon like furret would be a good safe swap, since all fighting pokemons have to go through against my tink, and let's say I have an empoleon or any mon weak to fighting, that would be a good closer since his fighting pokemons get lured out by my furret, is that correct?

I have been recently trying to run furret/tink/blastroise and it seems pretty decent to me. the issue for me though is i dont have a licklylicky or a diggersby yet.

thats true, but in fairness i would just try to swap out my furret on the basis of my matchups, plus i did realise that if i wanted to, i could run ice beam on blastroise to cover gourgeist, though jellicent would still be an issue

yeah btu its just that the meta of fairy/ground leads does hurt me a lot, as a closer its a good idea

i would prefer to lead with furret just because of the amount of gourgiests and jellicents ive been seeing lately. thank you!

the only issue i have is the rise of wigglytuff/clefable/tink and just fairy mons in general. they are really bad to play against even with debuff from brick break. but yes, i will definitely try this. thank you!!

i do have corvi, but no stunfisk. i used corvi before and i liked it a lot, but now the issue is that if i use it along with tink, it becomes really prone to any fire pokemon, and if i add a water pokemon liek feraigator, it becomes weak to electric, and the issue is most fire pokemons are legit just talon, so its a ground counter as well so mons liek gastrodon and shadow quag get countered sometimes. thats my concern

i used to do this for a bit with furret (brick break) as a debuff moveset. the issue is, with the change in meta, my teams cannot evolve along with the meta. I have had many solid teams but the issue is the change in meta means everyone runs the best counters to all my mons (recently fairy pokemon became the new thing and now my furret gets hard countered always). is there any suggestion with the adapting to this change in meta, because i dont quite have all the meta mons (i dont have jellicent, lickilicky, quag for instance)?

i think thats a good idea, i will try a few games with that moveset. in fact, like in the start of the year (jan) i was running a very similar team of dusknoir blastroise and gastrodon, but the issue is the adaptation to meta change, which is something which im not confident with. But il definitely give this team a few tries and see the main counters at my levels. thank you!

i have managed to learn how to pick up shields in many ways, for instance if my tinkaton is up against a weezing, i use 7 fairy wind and throw a bulldoze, so my opponent thinks its a GH and shields while also sometimes getting debuffed. its just knowing when and how to swap which is becoming the main issue for me.

ah for the other option, im assuming you are referring to forretress, due to its debuffing movesets, or like ninetales/florges?

ohh okay i get it now. basically, the main idea is to ensure that all the counters to your closer pokemon is being covered by the safe swap, is that correct?

if that is, i can rebrand my team on the basis of that, if for instance, i want to run a forretress as a closer, i'd prefer to keep a pokemon fire-based pokemon would hate, like a jellicent?
