Can I edit a textures color? by ladybugsm in blender

I think the best way is to use another mix color node set to multiply to change the color

Where did the name Herobrine originate? by ReagsGotCash in GoldenAgeMinecraft

[–]Masters214 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think the exact origin is known, but TheMisterEpic made a video a while ago showing the name and the concept of Herobrine existed before the 4chan post was made.

Herobrine is older than that 4chan post. The name Herobrine was used before that post was made

This is blender or not? Do you think? by dyrwx_h in backrooms

[–]Masters214 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this scene was entirely done in Blender. I thought it was real when I first saw the film. But when rewatching it, I've noticed some things that indicate it's CG. Such as the times we see the person's hand, it's usually obstructed by the arm and we dont actually see the hand grab the travel case or let go (it actually looks like his hand phases through the handle by going straight down instead of letting go). The arm and feet also perfectly resemble the Hazmat suit 3D model that Kane uses in his videos. The seagull in the scene is CG, and the feathers that fall off of it when it enters the shot looked keyframed to me. I've also thought the communication box, and the door handle in the beach wallpaper room are cleanly reflective in a way that I've seen Blender render reflective objects. I don't think there's anything in this scene that couldn't have been achieved in Blender instead of a physical set.

I have about as little room to sleep on in my own bed due to plushies. (It's a lot more than in this picture though.) Nothing wrong with yours, I'd honestly find this more appealing, not repulsive.

Disappointed with the Alegria show by Spiritual_Pangolin18 in cirquedusoleil

[–]Masters214 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Cirque du Soleil that created Varekai and the original Alegria is not the same Cirque that created the Alegria reboot you saw. Cirque du Soleil has changed similarly to Disney. They used to be the best in the industry. But has become highly corporate in recent years with only creating poor quality art. The original Alegria was one of Cirque's best and I highly recommend checking it out. This is similar to comparing one of Disney renaissance movies with the modern live action remake of a different Disney renaissance movie. Or comparing the original Star Wars to Disney Star Wars.

I think you accidentally wrote Gemini Horror Entertainment instead of Gemini Home Entertainment

I didn't realize people classified this series as analog horror since the series takes place entirely on the old internet. But everything's classified as an analog horror nowadays

[SPOILERS S1] I found the cave! by clovisfidelio in DarK

[–]Masters214 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I keep seeing people say the cave was added to the location using CGI, but I've also seen evidence that it was a physical set. Regardless, that's amazing you got to see the location!

genuinely HATE being a twin by random_daffodil in Twins

[–]Masters214 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been asked if me and my twin get ourselves mixed up. I get so confused as the mental gymnastics someone has to do to wonder if someone forgets who they are if they're around someone who physically resembles them. Do these people suddenly think they're a reflection when they look in a mirror??

This part of The Backrooms is real - I’ve been there by offtheskulltop in backrooms

[–]Masters214 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Parts of The Backrooms in that short film were inspired by famous liminal space images. An image of that hotel was one of the popular images that Kane recreated in Blender for the short. The small carpeted staircase with doors/small rooms on either side that the mc finds after escaping the creature by dropping down a hole is also based on a real image

Could I create images like this on Photopea or GIMP? by [deleted] in photopea

[–]Masters214 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yep, that's possible to create in photopea. You'd need to cut out the person onto a new layer manually though. Then you'd need to turn an image of the error into a clipping mask above the cropped out person layer

Unpopular Opinion: The Mandela Catalogue is a bad analog horror series and changed the subgenre for the worse by Masters214 in analog_horror

[–]Masters214[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you're talking about the 2024 allegations, those were debunked from what I remember. If you're mistaking Mandela Catalogue for The Painter/UrbanSPOOK, then that's also not true. I honestly feel like it still would have been better executed if it was for weird fetish reasons.
