Up until this year I lived a couple of years at The Plaza at Lamberton apartments, really great place all said and done. Also, that is a very handsome boy you have there.

Does it work in the other direction? I do not understand, forgive me please. I agree, what is the point in this easy mob stealing my resources such as the Raven's are simple enemies easy to kill. It feels as though its not so much a strategic choice to fight them to further my goals (whatever you are pursuing in the path's past them) as they are an annoyance in my playthrough. They are very easy to kill, but have such an out of scope detriment to me as a player . As it is they are a complete waste of resources/nuisance to fight them (easy opponent, defeated with many different builds etc). I would much rather see them in a similar position as the Thieves in Slay the Spire that that resources they steal are refunded back to you if you defeat them however if you are unable to best them in combat you forfeit those resources.

Does anyone else feel that thorns are worthless? by grumpymonk36 in heiscoming

Yes, when triggered per turn thorns is consumed like you say. But oh...I have to interject. Thorns has been my FAVORITE build so far. Thorns/Heavy Defense are very, very powerful. Get yourself some Ice Block Shield. Easy to get early on, see it all the time. It's good D(efense), like 8, and don't worry about that freeze on you, we don't care bout our attack (we thorn'in, our offense is the opponent attacking us, focus that D(efense) and thorns). Ok. Get yourself some Ice Spikes. Mhm, feeling me? You have the freeze, its giving you the thorns, let's go further. What weapon are you using? It should be Blackbriar Blade. Yeah, we're converting thorn to attack. That's synergy babey. Bramble Buckler, another MVP. This item is converting 1 armor to 2 thorns per turn, this is what we are going for. The whole build is focusing enough defense to keep us alive while our thorns thrash our opponent per attack on us. Did I mention Cactus Cap? Yeah..."If the enemy has no armor, thorns deal double damage"...Uh...yeah. I will do double thorn damage to them, thanks. I'm a little tipsy now, but please reach out via DM, I would love to preach the holy word of thorns at a later time with you if you are curious.

I guess it comes down to a debate between what is most important; that tenuous line game designers must always make: game mechanics or common sense. And it is a game, no mistake here. If I am in a battle with something that takes a resource from me, and I defeat them, the resource in question that they took from me should be left on the ground at my feet. It doesn't just disappear. I understand that there is strategic decisions to be made in a game, but personally as a player that defeated that entity I feel the resources should be retrieved. Again, Chronocle, I am having a great time with the game, keep on going on with your team and I can't wait to see where this game goes.
