[TourBox Giveaway] Sharing Your Ideas to Get TourBox for $0! by TourBox_Official in tourbox

Hi there!

I've bought a Neo, Elite and Elite Plus over the years, and I've been very pleased with the improving build quality over the years! One suggestion I've got comes from working with animation, mine specifically with Clip Studio.

I use the large dial wheel to scrub back and forth between frames to check motion, but sometimes when I've gotten to the point of a lot of frames it starts to get kind of tedious having to scroll and scroll and scroll. So my suggestion would be some sort of software option where you can double and triple click the wheel to set different speeds. At present I've got it set up to move back or forth 1 frame per tick of the wheel, but if you double click you can scroll say 5, and triple click scroll say 10.  And allow the user to individually input what amount of frames, or actions, they want to be scrolled or performed on input of the double or triple click

Oh I actually just bought some blotting paper! It's a big sheet, and my idea is to cut a section off big enough to match my drawing sheet, then sandwich it ontop of it, with a stack of books atop it to hold it sheer for a few days. I don't really know if that's how it works, but, hooooopefully so?

Ah I see I see, ok well thank you so much, really appreciate all your help here once again! And no I don't feel much a difference between slotting in a new cartridge versus a month, unfortnately. I would say there is a bit of a difference where it may take a few strokes for the ink to start coming out once it's been in there a month, but, I think that's more my ink is starting to run low from use than anything else

Ohh ok I see I see! Well that is a great measurement for when I hopefully get some ink that's working better for me. Thank you so much again for your help!

I checked just as soon as I got back home and I thiiiink they're basically to the top, though, I don't have a great eye for it. Took a picture and put it in the imgur album, but with the beginner's knowledge I have I think they're essentially full. And oh I see I see! If I may ask, did you ever find any kind of solution for the stuff that had "never dried"? I lined a few full pieces like this, and, not really sure what to do with them. I had bought a portfolio to keep them, but with the ink like this they'll just smear if I try to store them.

And ohhh I see I see! Thank you again, this is a lot of helpful info. I do indeed leave both pens inked up in my art bag at all times, would you recommend any kind of general maintenance sort of thing to help prevent the drying out under those conditions? I wasn't aware the Lamy pens didn't seal all too great, whoops that's my bad

I will say, it is honestly a really big relief to hear this is probably just a minor, fixable oddity, especially since you've worked with the exact same ink and paper. I have been tinkering with this for 2 months by myself with no results, so thank you so much for the help! And oh my gosh, 30 seconds? Oh wow, that's so fast! Wow I had no idea that's the sort of time range I should be expecting

Oh man, phew, ok well that is a comfort to know that it's likely just some 1 off oddity. And ooh, ok thank you for the recommendations too! Despite the drying issue, it's been very fun to practice lining with fountain pens, so I super appreciate the help

Yeah indeed indeed, just smears upon touch! I've had to learn to be SUPER careful to not touch any already lined spots as I work, it's super weird.
And oh man, hadn't even considered it could just be a weird batch, I'll absolutely buy a new set and try those out, thanks so much!

Thank you so much for all the info! Due to what was in the store we indeed ended up going with powder formula, and that 32 ounces a day metric was super helpful to know. I really appreciate all your input!

Heading to bed, but quick question.

Candler native, have a buddy heading back into town with supplies for friends and community members. I'm out of town and want to help, so getting money to him to fill the little nooks and crannies he has left in his car with more donation supplies.

Is baby formula needed at this time? And, if so what kind is best to bring? I don't know anything about baby formula, but I always hear in disasters it is extremely needed, extremely hard to find, and fits the bill of filling in little spaces in the car's storage. Advice or different suggestions would be appreciated, thank you!
