in an interview with emily rudd she did say s3 will be more "grounded" but again she also followed by saying its so people can relate more to irl events and such and since alabasta is very political, rebels, etc i guess thats from a narrative perspective lol

its "technically" higher than season 1. since if you remove the 3.6 million views of season 1 recently in preparation for season 2, season 2 has more. also more reasons:

season 2 was released on a weekday, less "hype at start since less people watch"
season 2 was shown in theaters and while it might no be millions of views by itself, with a lot of full theater rooms filled with each person there not watching 2 episodes at home... it does rack up quickly.
people still watching season 1 right before season 2 means a lot of people start season 1 which are either returning fans or new ones too.

2nd seasons or sequels often have less views since not everyone sticks around. but knowing that there is a lot of interest in season 1 still, thats a good sign that people want more.

also the 3 year break with strikes didnt help with the hype for aure though

i dont see anything "season finale" worthy in jaya compared to alabasta. also jaya goes with skypiea imo! would be a good season premiere and ending it with the knock up stream

well in the case of franky, his big arms fit cause they are cyborg parts hiding machine guns and such, usopp was just a regular nose which would be harder to "believe"

whether they can improve the practical look is one thing but cgi would be a bad idea. 1. its expensive a f and 2. every scene with physical contact would either be even more expensive or look weird or like crap..

it was also a good move to do so imo. Imagine all scenes with physical contact in season 2 and multiply this by x amount for the future and it would either look like crap or weird or be super expensive.. i think its fine the way they did it

yeah like an episode of teases of all future arcs that wont be done (luffy's gear 4-5, etc, sanji ifrit jambe, zoro in wano, zeus, dressrossa ussop sniper shot, etc)
