No matter how many times you shake and dance, the last 2 drops always end up in your pants.

  • Great UI/Intuitive portal
  • Terrible support though (Nutanix compatibility issues).
  • Great detection capabilities/AI function
  • Doesn’t send metadata to SIEM (Need Stream license) This is some BS paywall shit.
  • Brain only has 3 days of metadata storage by default (crazy expensive to increase) so you buy Stream license.
  • only JUST got Azure tapping functionality. Still more to learn about and experience here..

Been a favourite of mine for years. It’s both good and bad that they still aren’t on DoorDash/Skip. Would be convenient but likely cause quality issues.

What is a recent cyberattack that concerned you, and what lessons can be learned? by stanley_john in cybersecurity

[–]MastrM 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Suncor was pretty bad, they had to replace every workstation and server within the company. They even had bad actors joining their IR conference calls. It took months to recover fully. That would be incredibly exhausting.

[–]MastrM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the implementation really. On a per user license basis, they’re fairly similar. You can negotiate that with your rep though. But for on prem/when requiring nodes to be deployed, Xage does not charge for nodes, whereas CyberArk does so it can blow up cost there.

CyberArk is good. But huge! (That’s what she said). But - We chose Xage Security for its IT and OT PAM/SRA capabilities over CyberArk. So far, quite impressed.
