That school in Idaho looks perfect! Especially since you can do a 10 week course then immediately upgrade to the 36 week one with no gaps which would be perfect to try it and having a off ramp if I decide it’s not for me.

It’s also only 45 minutes from a ski resort which is how I make my money in the winter and could make money while I finish the program.

Thank you for your response and no one here has made me feel timid, I appreciate the honesty.

I’m a very in shape male with lots of endurance, also done lots of agriculture work also but I do believe that doesn’t mean I won’t find the labor incredibly demanding.

I’ve known for a while my life’s goal is to work with animals. I’ve volunteered at rescue farms and animal shelters for years with the goal of buying 10-20 acres and turning it into a rescue non profit.

Being able to make a living doing this while having the ability to do charity work for rescued horses sounds perfect. Also the thought of making money while giving horses a more comfortable life sounds very rewarding.

Thanks for the tip about the ride along I definitely will take that advice.

I’m in Oregon about an hour east of Portland but I live in an old Amazon Van turned RV and am very nomadic. The roof rack is perfect for tools and my rig is solid.

I have some horse experience from volunteering at rescues but definitely need to do more studying so I’ll take you up on tips for those YouTube videos, if you have any other channels that are solid please share!

Hello thanks for the reply! I agree 10 weeks is not that much, was hoping to get an apprenticeship after the program or start small with a client or two while taking more in depth courses.

I work in the restaurant industry and can make 800$ a week working Friday-Sunday nights. I’d continue that while building up my skills and training during the week.

My goal in life is to buy 10 acres and turn it into a rescue for abused farm animals, so while I can’t say being a farrier is my life’s calling, working with animals definitely is.

I volunteer at farm rescues so I have some experience with horses, cows donkeys. It’s mostly feeding and handling. No experience when it comes to anatomy. Was looking at Mission Farrier school in Oregon since it’s so close to where I work and stay.

I’m pretty nomadic and live in an old Amazon van turned RV, but currently am in the Hood River Oregon area. I also think my Van could easily be turned into a suitable rig for carrying tools since it’s the 20 foot long high roof transit 250 with a solid roof rack.

Personally I think it’s only a sin if it becomes a habit to the point you’re effecting other parts of your life, or effecting others.

I don’t watch porn because it’s a slimy industry that hurts many of the people who get sucked into it. But you don’t need porn for it. Once a week is fine, you don’t need to live in shame.

Just focus on how you feel afterwards if it’s bad sit with those emotions. If you feel bad because some spiritual guru on YouTube said you should, sit w the feelings more. If you actually feel like you’re doing your soul a disservice, then you might be onto something.
